Canelo is cool with the catchweight, he said they both had to give a little so that the Fight could happen! I like the kids attitude. I'm pulling for Floyd but won't hate on Canelo if he wins!

Mayweather gave Marquez a lesson in boxing 101. Lol. And I'm a big Marquez fan. The Ghost got all that tuff guy talk beat out of him by Mayweather.. If you don't think he got his ass beat cool but his face after the fight told a very different story.

There is no way you can call fighting Canelo a cherry pick.... he's young, undefeated, and is bigger naturally bigger than Floyd.
Come on Tony you know the drill. Canelo is a bum now that Mayweather is fighting him. Remember Mayweather was ducking Cotto, Mosley, Hatton, Oscar after the fight they old, shot, or a cherrypick anyway.

It's funny how fast this fight got made... If both fighters want to fight, both would have to give a little. It's funny how you hear nothing about drug test... non issue.

Canelo is cool with me... nothing bad at all to say about the kid!

Floyd is a 147 pound fighter, every now and then he'll go up to 154 and fight a fight or two (De La Hoya, Cotto) at that weight. It's only 2 pounds, geesh. As long as Canelo is cool with it why make big deal? Floyd probably wanted him to come down to 150.

Y! SPORTS

"If I'm not mistaken," Mayweather told Ben Thompson of Fighthype, "They came on record and said they wanted to meet at a catchweight, so we came up with 152 and both parties said we're comfortable with that. You're going to hear people criticize me and say, 'You're doing the same thing Pacquiao is doing, fighting everybody at a catchweight.' No I'm not because Pacquiao presents that to his opponents. Once again, these people brought this to me. They said, 'Well, we'll fight Mayweather at a catchweight.' That's all you had to say. You said that. I didn't bring that to you guys; you guys brought that to me."

Alvarez trainer, "Chepo" Reynoso, has a slightly different version of the story.
"Those two pounds that we're sacrificing was a condition to get the Mayweather fight," Reynoso told Boxingscene. "He wanted 150 pounds and we requested 152, and I think in the end we did well...If we did not give up those two pounds, he wouldn't fight. Besides, Mayweather wanted to fight at 147, then 150. Fortunately, Richard Schaefer is a great negotiator. Everyone did their part to get this achieved."

Technically, Alvarez did say that he'd be willing to go down to 150 lbs. to make a Mayweather fight, but that was way back in 2011 when facing "Money" was just a pipe dream for the young fighter from Guadalajara. To hold him to those words more than two years later is a real stretch.

Floyd left out that he asked for 147 and team Canelo countered with a cw and they settled on 152. Floyd can try to spin it but he's no different than anyone else that does catch weights.

Like I said though, 152 isn't a problem and it's a dope fight. I just hate hearing the critics of Pac vs Cotto all of a sudden justify this cw just because it's Floyd. Keep it real.

CW fights are fine most of the time anyways. Usually it's a way for two guys in two different divisions to meet in the middle. Cw fights have literally been around for over 100 years in boxing.

Right Floyd wanted it at 147, then wanted it at 150. Team Canelo wouldn't go no lower than 152. It's called negotiating. Floyd gave in a little more if you ask me, but hey team Canelo still said that they did "well". They knew in order to fight Floyd they'd have to sacrifice. But to keep it real 150 or 151 would have meant they would have met dead in the middle. By agreeing to 152 Floyd gave a little more.

Canelo fought Matt Hatton at a cw of 150 and came in over weight (151 1/2) so it just wasn't possible.

Answer these questions Mr. Double talk. Which win was better Manny vs. Cotto at 145lb or Mayweather vs. Cotto at 154lb?

Which is worst Manny ducking Mayweather for 3 years because of random testing, then asking a 140lber in Rios for random testing? Or Mayweather asking for a catchweight against a fighters who called him out and was 172 on fight his last fight?

Again shut the fuck up because you can't answer any of those without me exposing your pass double standard comments. Now sit back shut up and enjoy the superfight.
