good Ol Charlie Wood!...thats the sheeit!...and now with the Raiders also signing FS Usama Young, the 6th rated FS FA available this off season and Reggie Smith from SF and converted Brandian Ross to FS. Now they have an all pro in Branch and Woodson,a HOF in the Safety spots and DJ Hayden and Tracey Porter in the CBs. With Mike Jenkins backing them up. Wow, what a long way they have come.

Reggie McKenzie is doing great things in tha "O"!

I think Woodson starts, I don't see Reggie giving him that much just to be a mentor.

Only thing I haven't seen Reggie to is beef up the dline, unless he's waiting till some other players get cut after otas

This is a terrible signing for the Raiders for the simple fact this stunts the growth of the young secondary.you say woodson is teaching, well him being in the game keeps a youngster on the bench for longer, while he could be clicking with the rest of the defense

This defense is far from being rebuilt, Out of these guys maybe 5 or 6 are gonna be here long term. Mostly every one is on one year contracts like wheeler was and if they play good, they most likely will be over paid but not by us. And we needed help bad at free safety, neither young or Ross is our future at safety, so he really isn't taking snaps from guys who are going to be here long term. Try a different route to hate ya bitch!

Well woodson is likely gonna play free safety, he can have an impact on the young cornerbacks, especially Hayden. We all know hayden is gonna start and woodson can be a great mentor for.him

Rookie cornerback D.J. Hayden is out for the rest of the Raiders’ offseason workouts with an abdominal injury.

He is currently at a hospital.
Coach Dennis Allen says it’s too early to say if the abdominal issue is related to his heart injury from last year. “We can’t rule that out,” Allen said. “Right now, I don’t know the correlation to it, but we don’t anticipate it being an issue.”
Hayden, the team’s first round pick, severed his inferior vena cava during practice at Houston in November. It’s an injury that typically happens in high-speed automobile accidents, and 95 percent of the time it is fatal. Some teams thought Hayden was a risky pick but Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie said he was medically cleared.
Allen, who talked to reporters after Tuesday’s workout, said the issue popped up last Tuesday or Wednesday. He wouldn’t get into Hayden’s symptoms.
Allen said Hayden should be back by training camp

Not good! This could be a recurring problem throughout his career. Too risky to be the first pick of the draft for the Raiders.

They should've known better because they've been dealing with McFadden getting injured every year. Has McFadden ever finished a season healthy?

Hopefully Hayden doesn't become injury prone like McFadden or it will be a wasted pick.
