It won't be Peterson.

Has to be a mexican or Latino......to sell PPV's in September.

I know it won't happen but I'd like to see Broner vs Mayweather. I know they are friends or whatever but it would be a nice fight. Mares and De Leon fought and they were friends.

I guess I don't understand all that....

Peterson fought Khan, Bradley, Ortiz, Matthysse
Devon Alexander fought Bradley, Matthysse, Urango, Maidana, and Bailey.

Both guys got great resumes and both only lost to Bradley, but they don't get any hype and are the boxers really fighting the hard fights.

Lol is that way they don't get any hype? Lets pretend Peterson didn't test dirty for PEDs and lets ignore Devon Alexander makes his own home crowds boo him. His Bailey fight was atrocious.

Peterson has been entertaining though.

I voted Devon alexander cuz he needs to fight a brother on a different date, besides Mex Indy Day. Let's see if Floyd can unify the title and be a real self marketing genius like he claims to be. Canelo, from here on out, will no longer be an undercard to no one and that's the real reason he called out Floyd. Because the only real Mexican PPV attraction GBP has is Canelo. After that, Danny Garcia if he remains udefeated.

I agree with Alexander but I only agree if Alexander wins convincing this time out or wins by knockout. It would even be tough for even Floyd to promote that fight if Alexander looks boring again and barely wins lol. Got Em!!

No one is talking about a booing crowd, I'm talking about boxer and there resumes. Peterson and Devon are some of the guys that really fight the tuff fight every fight and get no hype from fans. I bet Mike Jones wish he looked atrocious and won the fight against Bailey, instead of getting knocked the fuck out.

I see a split site PPV Canelo vs. Cotto in Texas and Mayweather vs. Khan in the UK.

They could set a rehydration clause at 154 too.

Personally, I understand the logic against the fight, Canelo is big.

But from Floyds perspective Id jump on this fight. Sure, Canelo is a true 154 pounder but he's no bigger than Oscar was, in fact he's three inches shorter. Also, if I'm floyd and I watched the trout fight, I'd see a guy who is inactive, has stamina problems and isn't a pressure fighter. If I'm floyd that's a whole lotta money against a guy I think I could out box without too much trouble. that's what I'd be thinking.

Yea but Dela Hoya wasnt coming into the ring at 172 aginst Floyd either. Also even at 154 Floyd will still probably come in at 151-152 so that wouldnt make a difference. That dude shouldnt weigh more than 160 a best if he fights Floyd. Got Em!!

Well its hard to know since Oscar didn't have an unofficial weigh in either but he was bigger than floyd and definitely in the 160's for sure.

I'm just sayin that weight imo wouldn't be an issue considering the styles and considering Floyd seems to be more focused on defense and movement again.

As far as Canelo hardly anyone only rehydrates 5 pounds. Austin Trout was only a pound less at 171.

I didnt realize Trout came in at 171, but if so at least he is a true 154er anyway. They both need to go up to 160, thats why Cotto had trouble with Trout. Cotto aint a tru 154er. Got Em!!

Here is the reality of it, at all boils down to money. If Mayweathers next fight doesn't draw 1 mill buys, but Canelo does, then Sho and GBP will either concentrate on Canelo PPV's more, or pressure Floyd to fight him if not the contract would get ripped up somehow someway. The ball is really on Canelo's hand. He really does have more control of the situation than people think. I think it would be something to the effect like no rehydration limit, but a big Mayweather ring, you feel me

Canelo didn't have to look sharp. He was given the score cards every other round and knew he was in the lead. He fought a totally different fight this time around cuz he usually does damage to the body real quick and then it's history from there on out. Yet he was still sharp enough to Knockdown Trout. And I love Trout actually, to where I see him fighting Mayweather and noy Canelo. Floyd is gonna do Canelo like he he did to Pacman, fight all his opponents but not him. And I have Trout winning vs Floyd by the way
