It sounds like either way it would have went nowhere.

Out of all the artists Dr. Dre signed (Hittman, King Tee, Eve, Rakim, RBX, Bishop Lamont, etc) how many has he actually put out directly? Eminem, Truth Hurts and Busta Rhymes, and Busta had the advantage of being an established artist.
50 was through Slim Shady and Game was through G-Unit.

It's too bad that Dr. Dre didn't sign him and didn't put out an album with him. The remix he did of that Dre and Jay-Z was nice.

CROOKED I screwed himself. He shouldve stayed with DAZ and his solo career would be a lot better today.
I don't know about all that.....the reason people knew about him was because of Death Row, and all the hype surrounding him. Even though he never dropped an album on there, it got him recognized just for being on the label. Sticking with Daz, he would've maybe dropped an album or 2 independent but not as many people would know or carea bout him.

Good point, maybe cuz he never signed to Aftermath he still does somewhat have a rap career. Seems like most artists that got shelved by Aftermath were never heard from again. Crooked kinda got his second chance and not saying his career is that successful but at least his shit is getting heard on a nationwide level through his group which is better then 95% of West Coast rappers at the moment. I have a feeling his mixtapes are making some noise also these days cuz of sites like that datpiff.

I personally dont care if he ever releases an official solo from him as long as he still making music. For the first time in my eyes his last mixtape Psalm 82:v6 sounded like album quality songs which all his solo stuff previously didnt really.
