He's done a lot of chick flicks in the past, and still does, but I think his movies are getting better and better. I mean, his role in gangster squad was even geared towards females, but he's done a few movies as of late that showcase his talent. Have you seen Drive?

If you haven't, it may change your opinion just a little.

Just saw it. I could write down a shotload about how I feel about the movie. But it's still sinking in and I don't feel like going into too much detail right now.

The movie is broken into 3 parts/acts, with each one taking the story further and further. By the third act, I was just wanting it to end and couldn't understand why he kept it going. But in hindsight, it really makes the film that much more impactful. It's hard to explain; you ever watch something (really, a part of something in this case) and while you're watching it, you kind think it's boring, but when it's done, you completely understand the meaning? That's the third part. The first two were incredible.

This movie assaulted every one of my emotions. I don't know of a movie to ever have this much of an impact on me (maybe eternal sunshine?) in memory.

I understand now why it got a limited release (I think it had much to do with the third part) but let me just say, the movie was fucking great. Easily the best this year and better than anything released in 2012. Without examining all the films released over the past few years, I might go as far as to say it's the best movie I've seen since Inception.

It's not for everyone. Some of you may dislike it entirely in fact.

Acting was phenominal.
The score was outstanding.
The story was outstanding.

I downloaded the score a few weeks back because it looked interesting, and I had to turn it off after a few tracks because it was so good that I didn't want to spoil the movie for myself. Can't wait for a BRRip to watch, and then listen to the full score properly.

infinity @infinity the main theme song, with the base and piano; do you know if that's an actual song or part of the score? Either way if you have it can you upload it or hook me up with a link? A link to the album will work just as well. Thanks breh!

N/m I found it -- it's a part of the score.

Mike Patton - Snow Angel

This is fucking dope. It's crazy to think how much of a role a score can play in a movie. A truely under-rated aspect of film IMO. I won't go as far as to say it can make or break a movie, but it can most definitely put it right over the top.

Btw this video is the 10 minute version not on the album. The one on the album is 1:40 and has another element added to it.

Saw this over the weekend and I pretty much agree with Ethereal. It was nothing how I expected and that's not a bad thing. It was a tad long, or it seemed it was, and personally I would have liked the ending done in a way that made more sense to me and would have had more of a profound ending/statement which would have brought everything together. For those that saw it I'm sure you know what I mean.

Just got back from the theater and saw this. Fucking amazing. Best film of 2013. I don't see it walking away with less than 5 Oscar nominations & 2 wins. Like Ethereal said, it's broken down into 3 parts, but it all ties together. Best Actor - Ryan Gosling, Best Actor - Dane DeHaan, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Soundtrack, possible Best Director

First act 9.5/10, second act 8.5/10, third act 9/10, overall 9/10. Bon Iver playing during the end credits was very powerful too.

Did Dane DeHaan remind anyone else of Edward Furlong?

I just finished watching this. It was fucking awesome. I didn't know what to expect because I just read a short synopsis online but decided to go see it. I think this is definitely a movie that can't be talked about too much before you see it or it'll kinda be ruined. As I was walking out the theater some dumb bitch in front of me said she didn't like it and only wanted to see it because of Ryan Gosling. What an idiot.

Ryan Gosling is a great actor. The close-minded females are just looking at him as eye candy; they don't understand critical thinking and the implications and appreciations of certain actions. This was a career performance by him, no question about it. The film ran long, but it was rewarding if you stuck with it.
