Question About ITunes

This may seem like a retarded question coming from a computer retard, but I downloaded the newer version and now if I'm scrolling through my library and I stop at an artist that starts with for example the letter 'M', then I'll click on the CD I am about to upload into my library and then when I go back to my library it automatically goes all the way back to the beginning of artists starting with 'A'. Is there any way I can stop that? I used to be able to go back and forth between the library and CD without losing my place in my library, but of course with the newer versions there is always something that they think will be a great idea and it's just absolutely a crappy idea. Thanks for any help and I hope my question makes sense. I couldn't think of any concise wording of my problem to type into Google that gave me the answer I needed.

been dissapointed with iTunes. Have 2TB of music and when im searching, listening or whatever it runs really slow and sometimes it can be in the middle of a song and it will freeze temporarily.

doesn't bother me much cause my iPod touch barely works. i dropped it in the snow last year, it got covered in 2-3 inches of ice, made it through a melt....and still plays and syncs on iTunes.....

THAT is why i use it. lol.....but it fuckin sucks. i'm just glad i got some devin the dude on my ipod finally.

I never got an iPod precisely because I would have had to use iTunes.

Why do you have to do things through such an application, which you have no control over, when there is the much simpler way of copy-pasting files from one device to another?

So I'm kind of forced to be stuck with the newer version and I am having the same problem of losing my place in my ITunes library every time I click out of it. Does anybody have a solution to my original question? Believe me, I've tried searching and I've tried multiple ways of wording my question/search criteria. Thanks for any help.
