I just find it funny more than anything that some 20something year old who just started listening to rap in the last 10 years trying to tell someone who has been listening & heavily involved since the early 80's who is what & where everything originated.

Incisions @Incisions , STFU & soak game from cats that know instead of using internet links as your validity & arguments, cause you are wrong. Everyone reading this besides you & Mr. Mixxer knows you are wrong & we are laughing at you.

Exactly. These fools cant telll us bc we in our 30s. They only speaking on internet links. We lived thru the whole transformation of rap/hiphop music. We experienced the PAC, Biggie, Big daddy Kanes, Eazy E, Ice Cube, Rakiems come up. I remember when the genere was just called rap then the east(krs one) came up with that hip hop subtitle tryna compete with the wests coast gangsta rap era when west was dominating them.

I was a big fan of the Geto boys and they were considered "hardcore" if anything. cause they used shock value to seperate themselves from what was going on during that time. but horrorcore is a new term that didnt exist during the peak of their heyday.

but that wasnt just end of their content matter, like some of these so called horror core rappers do on every track. they touched on political shit, women, gangster shit, and a variety of things. anyone labeling them horrorcore must have not lived through that era and are just running with what their told.

Blaccmarket and AWOL to me were always "Gangsta Rap" not horror core....Maybe you can say the trilogy that Lynch released was leaning more towards that style, but the majority of his catalog is not....SOTS had a few traccs, but mostly is gangsta rap...Loaded, EBK4, Blocc Movement ect is also all gangsta rap...X-raided, C-Bo, Luni, T-Nutty, C-Way, Hollow Tip ect ect is all gangsta rap, with a sicc/violent twist (siccness) compared to other more "Mobb" music...

exactly the response id expect from someone basing his argument on opinions rather than backing it up with facts. look im not saying your wrong, but your not offering any proof or facts to what your saying. your simply stating that you know everything and whoever doesnt agree is wrong. bye. move along to the next thread where you can make yourself look like a fool.

I typed in "Geto Boys" in google and the only thing that followed was "Still" "Still Lyrics" "Lyrics" and "Mind Playing Tricks on Me."

When I typed in "Geto Boys H" I got "Hold it Down" "Halloween" "Homie Don't Play That," "Houston."

If we're going by the internet, wikipedia lists Eminem, D12, DMX, Bone Thugs N Harmony, as horrorcore.

no one is arguin that the term horrorcore was around back then, cuz shit obviously wasnt....and you're right, geto boys weren't confined to just horrorcore, but they had a lot of horrorcore shit and were partly responsible for the birth of any music with horror influence, shit aint really an opinion, it's a fact
