thats crazy, told you to just start with Tallahassee lol. I guess listening to the songs about that couple was a good build up to it tho.
I couldnt do it. I'm glad I listened to everything tho because it made me appreciate the studio quality sound more. Signing with 4AD was the best move he ever made.

Seriously everything from Tallahassee til Transcendental Youth. Get Lonely and The Life of The World to Come are the only 2 AD LPs that I kept every track, but were probably my least fav 2 overall (still amazing). I liked at least 10 tracks on everything else. As well as a bunch of cool EPs.

Getting all the side projects and everything. I only saved 6 tracks pre-Tallahassee.

Became a fanboy.

Yea my problem with get lonely was it was kind of forgettable, thats a problem with every other one of their albums imo. like we shall all be healed is really
i think it has to do with what producers they use for each album. I posted one of their split EPs in RUT a not too long ago.

I remember listening to The Sunset Tree and The Life of The World to Come years back and it wasn't really impressed much. But listening to everything in contrast to his whole catalog made everything click.
