The is Rock is a true success story that guy has come along way! All superstars leave I mean shiit over 200 days a year on the road the grind away from your fam, if you can be on top and leave to achieve a better life make $ all praise to you not all can.
The Rock left and is a superstar out of WWE and came back to have a busy schedule to entertain us he will be on wrestling pretty much until wrestlemania, that's respect right there he doesn't owe me shit to stay in wwe he moved on to better things like austin.
I 2 thought punk would win and someone will interfere like Lesnar, that just doesn't explain certain angles that seem to be goin down. I seriously want punk to challenge that record of holding the title that would put him over.

Right again about alot of what you said alot of the gimmicks are a lil silly Drew, and Gabriel deserve a shot but its not a 1 night business could they hold it down. There have been firings though new writers have come and gone there have been arguments with Vince himself about the product. This is why HHH is taking over Vince is gettin old I think wrestling has picked up lately new talent has come through to me sandow has it all it takes time to develop.

For the Rock and Stone Cold yes there were others who were great but not like those two or else they'd be better besides HHH and a few others.

Dwayne and Stone Drunk got to work with LEGENDS. Nash, Hall, Hogan, Hart, HHH, HBK, Flair, Taker, etc. Do I need to keep listing people? Neither one of these guys made it to the top on their own. They made it to the top because of the climate at the time (in the business) and the climate in the world (the real life world. They had good people to help carry them through and had feuds you wanted to see.

People like Dwayne are holding people like Punk back. It's all about tickets and t shirts, just like Punk said, and the idiots will pop, scream and cheer for the people like Dwayne so he can leave for ten years, or however long he left for, come back and get put straight to the top. Meanwhile, people (and gimmicks) that can lead to interesting macthes and stories gets put on the back burner. And while it's ok Punk hooked up Paul, he doesn't NEED him. So why is he with Paul anyway? Some shit Vince decided probably.

But back to the stars, you can't build them if you keep relying on people liike The Crock to come back every 10 years and then leave again.

of course i was and still am:devious: ...i was 9 in 93 though when he left the wwe...i didnt follow wcw too much...when he came back with nash and hall in 2002 and had his match with rock, did i find it ridiculous that this old, slow man was being pushed as the same cat with his superhero like strength and whatnot? of course i did...but once he put the yellow and red back on it became a nostalgic thing, and i just laughed it off and enjoyed it for what it was..entertainment...basically i was riding for him in those matches against shawn in 05 and orton in 06 for that simple fact...nostalgia...

According to F4WOnline.com, WWE has finally decided on the top four matches for WrestleMania 29 this year. While plans for the show have been switched around many times over the course of the past several weeks, it's being said that the top bouts for the big event have been settled on and creative will now start booking TV around those matches.

The plans began last night, with it being confirmed that The Rock will challenge CM Punk for the WWE Title at the Royal Rumble, and next week's Raw, which is the 20th anniversary of the show, is expected to be just as big, if not bigger, than last night's broadcast.

WWE is reaching out to various legends to make special appearances and the WWE website is teasing that fans should "expect thrills and surprises of all shapes and sizes."

As we reported earlier, there was talk backstage at Raw last night that WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will be in attendance for the 20th anniversary show.

yea i agree. The rock is definintion of a hustler. I saw his bio he went from being broke living in canada playing fottball there sleeping on used matress from the trash can to a entertainment icon. He passed Hogan up far as hollywood imo.

nobody carried the rock or Stone cold back then they were great workers and carried alot of matches then. even bret hart gave praise to stone cold work ethnic and said he had one his top three favorite matches with stone cold. the thing that blew them up is that they have that special connecting gift that alot wrestlers dont have that makes stars and longevity. Punk is a great worker and cool for this era but he dosent have that gift. another thing they cutting his career short bc Hes too small to be taking all the wear and tear on his body that he been taking he gonna be in a rey mysterio situation soon.

You aren't reading. Dwayne and Stone Drunk had LEGENDS to work with. CM PUNK is beating ALL of the so-called "stars" today. You think Stone Drunk would be where he is without his fued with Hart? That match with Hart, where he bled like a stuck pig, was THE match that made him, it wasn't the match when he dusted off Jake Roberts. And Dwayne, you can look at all of the matches where people carried him and you'll see he didn't do things himself. Yeah, he had to wrestle, and he had to talk, just like Stone Drunk, but if it weren't for the other people around, people who they could tell a good story with, you wouldn't even see these fools.

Disagree all you want but it's the truth. You think Stone Drunk would have been a factor if he had no feud with Bret? You think Rock would be a factor if it weren't for his feuds with DX and Mankind? See, again, these guys had LEGENDS to work with. How many legends does CM PUNK get to work with?
