I haven't seen the movie yet and every write-up or moviegoer reaction that is in a negative light tends to revolve around the frequent use of the word nigger in the movie sooooooo....
and im just goin off what i seen in the theatre... it wasnt even to the mandingo part when these cats threw there hissy fit... they were on the "i cant believe i payed 10 bucks to listen to white boys say nigger every other word" hype...

I mean it's marketed as a former slaves redemption tale, I'm sure black people expected that the writer/director would kind of sway in their favor in how he portrays the violence you know? I did. That was not what happened tho.
