Canelo gets unfair hate. He's tried to fight big fights, it's not his fault paul williams, kirkland, Angulo, Ortiz, and now cotto all fell apart.

Anwyays, Canelo's mandatory was to be Vanes vs Lara winner. And that ended in a draw and are ordered to fight again. So Canelo really can't catch a break.

What's funny is Floyd has belts at 154 and 147. At 147 Guerrero is his mandatory. At 154 it technically should be Trout.

Canelo aint a bigger draw than Mayweather right now, but he's not far off! And at 22, without really fighting anyone great, he's the third or fourth biggest draw in the world. What does that say? As a boxing fan, it doesn't make sense and shouldn't be that way. But, it's the truth and it is what it is.
I aint saying Canelo aint a big draw but when someone says he is bigger than May thats just silly. Canelo is huge within the Mexican public which has big love for boxing and is big in boxing so that alone works. Mayweather however brings in all races. Big difference. Got Em!!

Damn Trout looked fairly big against Cotto and obviously it was an advantage for him as Cotto couldnt even shadow him the whole fight like he's used to. He actually pushed Cotto around. Trout fighting May would look weird and I never actually thought about that one. Interesting though. Got Em!!

Cotto, Floyd, Pac...none of these guys belong at 154. All three are way too small for the division I've felt that way the day Cotto moved up. And like I said Trout was the first true 154 pounder he's fought besides yuri foreman (who's not a guy that uses his size).

Kind of late, but I thought Trout looked outstanding in beating Cotto. I didn't have it that close and he completely shut down Cotto down for stretches of the fight, rarely took a hard punch, and landed clean on Cotto. Where did it come from that people have to look like absolute phenoms or hurricanes in the ring to get a big money fight?

Andre Ward doesn't do anything that'll make people get wet in the pants but it's clear that he's special. It wasn't until AFTER he got his chances in the ring until people started recognizing it, go read nearly any review of Ward before the tournament. You'll see a bunch of that he's chinny cause he was dropped by Boone, you'll read people wondering when he's going to step up the competition and surely there's something wrong with him because his handlers don't get him hard fights, he was even criticized after shutting out Miranda for not beating him better than that because people considered Miranda a shell of a fighter that never was.

To say Trout or Lara shouldn't fight Canelo because one of the three happened to be blessed with the gift of strong promotion and popularity is absolute madness. Sometimes people don't look like world beaters and prove to be when put in the position.

By Ryan Burton

Multiple sources in Houston have advised BoxingScene.com
that former super bantamweight champion Poonsawat
Kratingdaenggym failed his pre-fight blood test because the
Thai star tested positive for HIV [Human immunodeficiency
virus is a lentivirus that causes acquired immunodeficiency
syndrome, AIDS]. Follow-up tests were taken to confirm the
result. The local commission refused to license the fighter after
the result was confirmed.

The fight was scheduled to be televised by HBO as the co-feature fight to the Nonito Donaire versus Jorge Arce main
evening that takes place on Saturday in Houston, TX.

In an earlier article on BoxingScene, the Thai fighter's wife,
Uangkarn Udomna, stated that Poonsawat's test failure may be
the result of the recessive blood disorder, thalassemia.

According to a press release issued by Top Rank, they are
looking to get Rigondeaux back in the ring as soon as possible.

Wow dude has HIV. They said it was PED earlier this morning. Rigondeaux is fucked I think Doniare is moving to 126lb soon.
yeah, well what happened was the news leaked that he failed his drug tests, so naturally everyone assumed it was PEDs until the official word came out.

I guess Poons has a disease called Thalassemia, a condition that requires blood transfusions all the time. In a poor country like Thailand I'm sure that's how he got HIV. Feel terrible for the guy.
