Benzos and Booze are the only two drugs where withdrawals can actually kill you. That shit is 100% bad. The worst thing I've ever gone through in my life was the two times I detoxed from the combination of the two.

i withdrew for almost 7 months straight.

doctor said it could have lasted a year & that i shouldnt have quit cold turkey but i did not wanna take 1 ever again.

Xanax is a valuable drug though, if not abused. It helps a lot when my GAD is acting up and lets me mellow out and go about my day. Besides being addicting if you take them a lot one reason I have only rarely took them for the fuck of it is they also stop working for that if you get too use to them. I think I've taken them when I didn't actually need them maybe 14-15 times in going on 12 years now.

Yeah I've heard benzos & alcohol can be the worst/most dangerous withdrawals. These are the first benzos I've done in around 2 years. Never been hooked on anything except for alcohol & weed & that's enough.

don't get me wrong, like Nuttkase said, benzos are a great class of drug, and really useful for anxiety. But they also have a super high potential for abuse. So people like me, who are low on the self control continuum when it comes to substances, need to be careful.

I have an addictive personality myself for sure. Probably the main reason I don't abuse them, because I do like how they make you feel, is because I want them to still work when I actually need them lol.

GAD has nothing to do with confidence breh. Trust me on this one. I'm a very confident and out going person. It's a chemical imbalance.

That said I don't pop a pill every time I have slight anxiety or situational anxiety because it is good to work through those things.
