Psn/xbla games

I think a lot of people are sleeping on the PSN and Live Arcade games. I'm making this thread so we can discuss em, recommend which ones to get, which ones to avoid, etc.

Hard Corps: Uprising (Contra) is a good title. I played the demo and I like it. It's for PSN and XBLA and costs 10 bucks or 800 points. It's made by the people who made BlazBlue (with the blessings of Konami) and there are two ways you can play this game. Like old school contra (no life bar) or like an action/rpg type game where you get a life bar, can upgrade other skills (like a triple jump), etc.

Anamoly: Warzone Earth. This is a reverse tower defense game, I liked it and purchased it for 800 points. It's not on PSN, but there are versions for android, iPad, mac, PC and one more gadget.

Torchlight. Not on PSN, but you can get it for PC. The demo reminded me of Diablo and the game drops hella loot so you're always upgrading your character (and he looks different when you change his weapons, armor, etc.) I think I might buy this one, can't remember the price however.

Sine Mora this is a XBLA and PSN title and I think they want 1200 points/$15 for it. This game is a side scrolling shooter like the old snes, genesis and arcade games. It has bullet hell elements, but the crazy thing about this game is you don't have a health meter. Well you do, but it's the CLOCK/TIMER. Time plays a very important role in this game and you can upgrade weapons and other shit. I think I might shell out the points for this one.

Outland. This is on some Metroidvania shit. It's a PSN exclusive and I copped it for 10 bucks. It took me 8 hours to get to the final boss, but instead of fighting the boss I bounced and went looking for collectables. The story in this game is weak, but the gameplay is on point, so think about Metroid, Flashback, Out Of This World, Castlevania and "polarity" games like Ikaruga. Worth the bread in my opinion.

I bought Journey soon after it came out. It's a PSN exclusive. I really, really enjoyed it but it's not for everyone. There's no dialogue but it manages to be really deep. It's a pretty artsy type of game. There also aren't any real enemies. The multiplayer aspect is what really intrigued me. You can't chat in any way besides a simple "shout". You also can't see the other person's name. It makes working together a bit more challenging but more rewarding. When I beat the game the first time I felt like the dude who helped me out was my best friend lol. It's really short though. I think I beat it in 2 hours the first time. The graphics in this game are absolutely gorgeous. If you have a PS3 I suggest at least watching the trailers for it first and decide if it's worth the $15. I don't play it every day but I think it's a great experience when I do play.

PixelJunk games are going to be on sale starting tomorrow on PSN. Racers, Monsters, Eden, and Shooters are going to be $1. Shooter 2 and Sidescroller are gonna be half price. I haven't played any of the games yet but I'll be getting Monsters and Shooters tomorrow.

Has anyone played The Walking Dead game? The last episode came out this week. If you're a fan of the show or comics I HIGHLY recommend it. Some of the best $15 I spent on a game.
I played the demo to the first episode (seems to be the only demo) and I liked it. However, I'm torn when it comes to this. The reason being is the disk version, well the special edition at least, comes with most of, is not all the comics from the series. So you think I should just snag all the episodes or wait til the retail version hits?

If you're a big fan of the comics then it seems like it would be good to get the special edition. At least from what I read. It says the book that it comes with is normally $60 and the special edition pack is $70 so seems like a good deal to me. But if you don't mind getting the comics elsewhere or maybe for a cheaper price then you might as well get the episodes right away. Either way, you'll enjoy the game.
