Islam has nothing to do with this. Otherwise they wouldn't have killed her.
Islam and domestic violence - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fuck fundamentalist christianity and judaism too while we're at it.

I know everyone has their anecdotal evidence about so and so who "became a better person" after discovering religion, but as a whole, these antiquated belief systems cause more harm than good. A civil society has no need for it.

People say you can't tie these crimes to islam (christianity/judaism) because there is nothing in the quran (bible/torah) that explicitly commands a father and mother to throw acid on their daughter for looking at a dude on a motorcycle. But at the same time, whether we want to admit it or not, these actions are justified by the individual through their belief system/religion. Old testament / abrahamic belief systems have an undercurrent of oppression and violence, not tolerance and understanding.

I'm not religious. I'm an atheist. Most of the these things have their roots in old customs and traditions that existed before modern religion was invented. Religion was and still is a tool to control people. If a 'leader' in an area liked certain traditions/customs, then they were implemented into the religion.
