OK now Anthony Peterson is a top notch boxer?? What big fights have Anthony Peterson been in or won? Lamont Peterson his brother who is a better all around fighter is not a top notch boxer. A top notch boxer is Mayweather, Marquez, Gamboa, Matinez, or Donaire. Anthony Peterson is a inside fighter that works his way in using his jab. I'm done you don't have a clue you're just talking in circles..

Gatti was the same way. Maragrito was the same. All offense no defense fighters. Two bawlers with no defense is fun to watch. But I'm sick of people overhyping them like they're some P4P greats. Now if or when Rios beats a top level boxer I will be impressed. I'm a fan boxing that actually like my fighters to have defense, ring IQ, and be able to adapt in the ring. If you can beat fighters and look good against all fighting styles then you're an elite fighter. You're not a elite fight if you only like good against one style of fighter.. That's my problem with of the last 4 years Manny and that's my problem with Rios. They only look good against guys standing infront of them but they get so much hype.. I love watching those fights just like everyone else but don't selling it to me like that's elite boxing. Chavez Sr, Duran, or Hagler are elite level bawlers with skills. They beat all styles of fighters while still being a bawlers.


And props to Donaire. He actually broke dude down and finished him. That was the P4P performance I have been waiting on. Now he needs to keep on fighting top guys and stop wasting his time with guys like Arce..

You have a lot higher standards to give a fighter credit than I do.
To me, both of those brothers are among the best fighters out there.

Now, if you only follow PPV and HBO fights, then sure I can see where you are coming from. If you are in the gym and watching local county fights, you will learn to appreciate fighters like Anthony Peterson.

He beat Leon and Attah.
Those aren't really write offs...

Arce gets him a big payday though. These little guys at 122, they're not making a lot of money.

For example, saturday's card, only did 825,000 views on HBO. That's pretty low, especially with Rios on the undercard. And that was Donaire fighting the #1 guy in the division. Now say he fights Arce, that's over a million views easy.

If these little guys were getting paid the same as the big guys I'd be with you, but if I'm Donaire, I'm making that money as best I can cause before you know it his career is over.

My top 5 boxers are Mayweather, Marquez, Martinez, Ward, and Gamboa/Donaire. Boxers to look out for are Mickey Gracia, Bronner, and the Cuban's Rig and Lara.
