No your not the only one. growing up couple my cousins and friends thought 40 was so shitty and used to knock me for listening to him. It seemed just like yesterday I was 13 years old checking out federal album in like 1993.

That's a good question. I never really consider Short's music "mobb." It was always more funk-infused beats. I guess it depends on your definition of mobb. Funk-mobb?

To me mobb is rappin about hustlin, ridin on niggas, jackin niggas, and or just droppin knowledge about the game. The beat over that content is very critical as well.
I just never pictured short to be a mobb rapper. But I never followed short like the rest of you guys so that's what I asked.

imo 40 trying too hard to fit in with the youngins lets be real thats why he went got 2 chain feats and etc. he can get smoother sounding beats back but only thing he fucking with his son on beats heavy so its not gonna happen.

If the tracklisting is 100% official the mob music is what Im waiting on to leak 1st than function music... That one is definitely for his og fans... I can only hope Mosley & Bostic, Bosko & even Studio Ton layed pure mobb beats all over it... Im sure Function will get less play from me tho......

Off the top of my head "Freaky tales" and "Something to Ride Too" sound like some mobb beats to me. I def hear what you are saying about lyrics tho.
