i get off work at 3 in the Marina tomorrow, it's gonna be INSANE in the city. I'm trying to think what bar I should go to. And maybe hit that Lids in Union Square to get a Niners hat.

anyway, this can't get any better. Let's fuck the Reds up on their turf.

Alex Smith to throw out the first pitch for Giants tonight

Presumably, he’ll be wearing his Giants hat.

After showing his support in a possibly expensive way, 49ers quarterback Alex Smith will throw out the first pitch tonight when the San Francisco Giants open the playoffs tonight against the Cincinnati Reds, according to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee.

Smith was threatened with a $15,000 fine by the NFL for wearing a Giants cap during post-game interviews, and Giants manager Bruce Bochy wore a 49ers hat later to show his support.

The two teams are growing closer and closer, as they both enjoy tremendous success. Giants legend Willie Mays visited the 49ers Wednesday, and signed autographs for coach Jim Harbaugh.

Maybe if the Giants and 49ers continue to win, the football team will let Bochy call the coin toss before a playoff game. And if you’ve ever seen the size hat Bochy wears, you know he’ll call heads.
