After I watch Moonrise Kingdom again it will probably go

Moonrise Kingdom
The Royal Tenenbaums
Fantastic Mr. Fox
The Darjeeling Limited
Rushmore
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
Bottlerocket

That of course doesn't mean I don't dislike Bottlerocket because I like it a lot. It's the movie that got me into Wes Anderson of course, well, being his first and all. But it's my least favorite these days. Rushmore & The Life... are probably interchangable to me as well. In my opinion all of them are better than probably 90% of other movies since 1996 when Bottlerocket came out.

I would have rushmore and life aquatic a few spots higher personally, but bottle rocket is def on the bottom, not that its terrible, he just got better at directing over time

Honestly all these years later I didn't think anything would ever bump The Royal Tenenbaums out of first for me. Fantastic Mr. Fox came really close but that's hard to rank seeing it was his first movie like that, but it came close. Then I watched Moonrise Kingdom and was like "Welp, I think he did it" lol.

He needs to do another movie like Fantastic Mr. Fox for sure though. Fuck, there needs to be more stop-motion movies period. You should check out ParaNorman 0R0 @0R0 , it's great. Did you ever see Coraline?

Just curious have you watched Darjeeling more than once?

Sometimes I feel like omitting Fantastic Mr. Fox because it's not like anything else he's done and it's hard to compare to his other movies. It's still one of my favorites of his though.

just something about rushmore really did it for me, by no means his best but I really dug it

I haven't seen either
For sure, I honestly wouldn't even argue anyone being in the wrong if their list was the exact opposite of mine with his movies. I'd try to see where they were coming from but I could see someone liking any of his movies more than the other going by personal opinion, things clicking, etc.

You should check them both out. ParaNorman is still in theatres, Coraline came out in 2009 so it's probably easy to track down. I'd watch it on HDTV though or high quality download/stream on the net.

I've seen it 3 times and while its enjoyable and one of the best looking jawns, the story kind of goes nowhere and wasnt that satisfying to me
Yeah I can see that. I really liked the interaction among the main characters and then a lot of the random stuff just going on in the movie a lot. Wes Anderson is the king of having something randomly going on in the background of a scene that is hilarious.
