i just found my copy of "chopper city" that i purchased in the late 90s.

I actually bought that album while visiting San Francisco in 1996 from the huge Tower Records over there in the city.

Those NO projects have to, well had to now, be some of the grimiest looking projects in the US. My homie, who is black himself and from LA, that had family in the NO and been to a lot them said they straight up reminded him of slave barracks.

Yeah he said they are all row house looking but as you can tell in the video it's like 2 stories high and about 8 apartment lenghts down. So 16 per building. But then you notice they built them over and over going further down in the video, he said there would be like 4-7 deep going down that way and just row after row of them. That's some crazy shit especially just going off how ran down and grimey they look in the videos.
