any smart promoter signs guys to feed to their bigger star guys.

take billy dib for example. does anyone think 50 and floyd believe he's a marketable fighter? I doubt it. more than likely they signed him because he's a title holder and in the same weight class as Gomboa, and its a good way for Gamboa to become champion again in his comeback fight.

berto vs floyd could be a stretch, so that leaves Judah, who lets face it is done on an elite level. maybe they sign berto to fight judah in his comeback fight.

Rigondeaux's contract is set to expire after his upcoming fight I can see them snatching him up as well.

Over the last few weeks, rumors began to swirl that there was friction between 50 Cent & Floyd Mayweather.

During a recent appearance on the Rickey Smiley Morning Show, 50 Cent discussed those swirling rumors. Without acknowledging that there were issues, he appeared to confirm that the two of them were not as close as they used to be.

“Me and Floyd is always gonna be cool. Everybody around him is waiting on the next time he feels generous. And I have a lot [of money], so I don’t wait for nobody. It’s just a space and time. I’ll go and do what I have to do. I don’t gotta sit around and wait for the next time he feels like giving somebody something,” 50 Cent said.

As for rumors that he had some sort of relationship with Mayweather’s significant other, Fif put those to rest. “No, I would never mess with his lady,” he said firmly. “I wouldn’t do that with anybody that I call a friend.”

and Floyds not an attention whore?

LOL
The difference is Mayweather is playing a character as Money Mayweather to promote his fights, dude is very low key and cool as hell in real life. 50 Cent is a dickhead in real life, plus he has a history of stabbing people in the back. I have a feeling that Mayweather is not involved with TMT. Remember Dr. Dre was mad at 50 Cent getting into the headphone business after him using the Beats by Dre hype. Maybe 50 doing the same thing with TMT. Mayweather Promotion co-promoted the Showtime event last Saturday and Floyd was at the fights and TMT was nowhere to be found.

Look, I am not going to pretend I know either one of these dudes. Cause honestly, I think it;s funny when millionaire fight with eachother.

But it's funny how 50 can be perceived as a dick or a back stabber, when all I see him do is make moves to make himself very successful. You think Mayweather, Dre, M&M, young Buck, Lloyd Banks, etc never did something questionable to get ahead?

Now I realize that these are so called "friends" but this is all the MORE reason why you never mix business with pleasure.

"Money and blood don't mix like 2 dicks and no chick, find yourself in serious shit"

They might not be family but they are close enough.

R.i.p. Tmt promotions july 2012 - september 2012 lmao

Article Link - http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&opt=printable&id=57010#ixzz26JZqUWx8

By Rick Reeno

Multiple sources have advised BoxingScene.com that TMT Promotions, the promotional company recently started by rapper 50 Cent, is already closing shop.

Back in July, 50 Cent announced the formation of TMT Promotions, and quickly signed Yuriorkis Gamboa, Billy Dibb, Celestino Caballero and Andre Dirrell. He also obtained a promoter's license in New York and Las Vegas.

There was talk of friction between 50 Cent and Mayweather, but never confirmed.

The lawyer for featherweight champion Billy Dib was reportedly advised by attorney Sekou Gary, that "50 Cent was no longer in boxing" and his promotional contract was being moved to Mayweather Promotions. Gary represented Gamboa when he left Top Rank for TMT. He currently represents James Kirkland in his lawsuit against Golden Boy.

Gary declined comment when reached Wednesday night by BoxingScene.com.

A manager involved with another TMT boxer told BoxingScene - "we have no idea what's going. Everything is up in the air right now."

Pacquiao, 50 Cent To Unite in Joint Promotional Venture

By Rick Reeno

BoxingScene.com has confirmed that eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao, and rapper 50 Cent, are going to move forward with a joint promotional venture - according to Pacquiao's adviser Michael Koncz.

In an earlier story, multiple sources advised BoxingScene that TMT Promotions, the promotional company recently started by 50 Cent, was already closing shop.

Back in July, 50 Cent announced the formation of TMT Promotions, and quickly signed Yuriorkis Gamboa, Billy Dibb, Celestino Caballero and Andre Dirrell. He also obtained a promoter's license in New York, and submitted paperwork to get a license in Las Vegas.

Koncz tell BoxingScene that Pacquiao and 50 Cent are going to come together to form their own promotional company, and Mayweather was initially discussed as a partner - but he doesn't appear to be involved.

"50 Cent and I have been talking now for maybe the last two months. They approached us with the idea to form a promotional company. Initially it was going to be 50 Cent, Manny and Floyd. But right now I don't think Floyd is going to be a part of it. I explained the idea to Manny. We already have a promotional company, MP Promotions, and we have already done three separate promotions from Top Rank...on a small scaler. I have to take the blame for that. I'm in charge of it. There is an element missing there, but I have so much to do with Manny - that I haven't got that company to where I want it," Koncz told BoxingScene.com.

"I think with 50 Cent, with his entertainment connections and his popularity there, combining that with Manny's popularity and expertise in boxing - we can bring a new flavor to boxing - we can excite some young boxers and I think we can sign some top quality boxers. I spoke to 50 Cent tonight and confirmed that we're going to go forward. Manny is coming here this weekend for other business, but we're all excited about it. With 50's influence in the music industry - we want to put a different flavor on the shows."

"On pay-per-view events maybe we won't do four fights. Maybe we'll do two fights and a mini-concert in-between or something. A different angle on it. People know Manny cares about other boxers and I think that's going to be important when we go out and sign other quality boxers who may not know 50 Cent but on the other hand know Manny and know his generous character to other boxers."

50 Cent's true colors will come out all you have to do is wait.

so 50 made TMT to basically make Floyd vs Pac, and to team up with Koncz/Pac, but floyd wasn't down. Maybe that's why pac waited all this time to decide on an opponent. 50 was also the one putting up $40 million to make pac-floyd, not floyd and 50's trying to make things happen while floyd is just doing whatever. Interesting.

it was to be a joint venture between TMT And MP. meaning top rank and golden boy would be cut out. if floyd wants to fight pac he'd have to do business with him one way or another, only this was no bob arum no oscar.

probably a moot point now. pac vs jmm 29 and floyd will probably fight early 2013 .

Mayweather is not down with 50 Cent hiring a ex-Top Rank match maker, and getting all love dovey with Bob while he was in jail. Plus Manny turned down $40 million only to get his belt took by Bradley for $15 - 20 million. Plus add in the fact that Manny still has a lawsuit against Mayweather. Manny need to "Ricky Hatton" Marquez for anyone to care about him.
