Whatever your team does, I hope it's good. I'm tired of all of the down talk on this division. Maybe if 9ers get a good QB and good HC, and Gore makes a full recovery, and AZ gets a good QB, and Seattle gets a good QB and o-line that can block for him, just maybe the division will be turned around.

Was reading the news today and Eddie D. said he'll be helping his nephew find a GM that can make things happen..

Jed York also said that Harbaugh and Gruden are on top of his list for the HC position...

I'm hoping they can get someone like Floyd Reese, who has ties to the Patriots organization and knows what it takes to build a winning franchise. If not, Mike Lombardi might be a good fit, if he's willing to give up his gig at the NFL Network, and come back to a front office job.

It was posted on Twitter that there was an interview today for a GM but Maiocco wasn't sure who it was.

I spoke to Mike Lombardi this morning; He says he has not been contacted by the 49ers about their general manager position.

Jed York consulted with Parcells because Trent Baalke used to work for him 10 years ago. Not sure how much Parcells can tell him about Baalke that we should already know. The guy has been with the 9ers since 2005.

I'm hearing more and more that Baalke is going to get the GM position...and also that Baalke could come as a package deal with Harbaugh.

The NFL Network and Trent Dilfer have nothing but praise for Baalke, and judging by the past 9 months and the moves he's made, I don't think he'd be terrible. But it would seem that if it is him, that Jed still wants to remain in control.

The only football related thing Jed should even be near is whether or not something is worth spending money on. That's it.

Ideally, I'd like for the 49ers to try and get Kolb from Philly for a 2nd or 3rd round pick. They have him under contract for cheap, so they're asking 2 first round picks, which is a crock of shit.

Another option for QB is Josh Johnson, who Harbaugh coached down in San Diego. Familiar with Harbaugh and the offense. Plus, he's a backup in Tampa...so we could probably get him for relatively cheap.

I thought we should make a move for McNabb, but IMO, he's over the hill....even though he knows the WCO.

The Niners will definitely draft a QB, but I think that we still need to pickup someone who can be effective immediately, and I don't see us being able to get that with the 7th pick, especially with Luck out of the picture.

kolb isnt worth more than a 4th, maybe a 3rd.

and no trades can go down until cba is reached.

not too interested in mcnabb or romo or palmer or any other of the veteran losers that might be available. dont want career losers, i want winners.

what was weak for the niners especially, was letting alex have a good game showing off for a contract to end the season when they should have let nate start to see what he could do in the final game. and if they were that against nate, they should have let troy start to further evaluate him.

why let the #1 bust start knowing we arent gonna keep him anyways is beyond retarded.

^^Your right about that but I think it was more Jim Tomsula, trying to look better as a coach and get a win to help his career.

He's was thinking of his future more then he was thinking of the 49ers future....

really? all Baalke said was their going to approach the QB position 3 different ways; the draft, trade and free agency. No indication whatsoever of Ass Smith being brought back...
