Uh huh...but then you have Floyd up there, with a win over Marquez, and a win against Mosley, after his ''retirement''...which was long enough to bounce him off the list, by your standards...
Right?
Shane Mosley was a champion and the #1 or #2 ranked Welterweight when Floyd beat him. So yeah, it's a lot of different than Marquez losing a fight and fighting an unranked fighter who lost 2 of his last 3 fights.
Bernard Hopkins was actually ranked top 5 and hasn't lost since, but he fight Enreque and Roy Jones, so he got dropped from the list as well do to poor opposition. That's basically the same scenario as Marquez almost except Marquez actually lost and bernard didn't (granted it was to a much better fighter but still).
I'm not saying marquez shouldn't be on the list, it's opinion based, but on my personal list I took him off for the reasons stated above. His upcoming fight against Katsidis in November though (which could be fight of the year), assuming he wins, will automatically put him back on my list somewhere top 6 depending on his performance.
Also just to note, if Andre Ward beats Dirrell convincingly, I'm putting him at #2 and dropping Floyd down to 3. On the flip side if Dirrell beats Ward he deserves to be top 8, since really, dirrell has never lost as a pro (he was robbed against Froch as far as I'm concerned).
