Margarito is worn down at this point. He didn't look particularly well in the Cotto fight, even though I'm a Margarito fan, I realize this. I can't fault him for going to get his money. He's just now getting the shot to make some serious money.

He's different than Floyd, because Floyd always talked about how he was the greatest and if he were to retire he'd be the best to ever lace up a pair of gloves which is ludicrous. Tony did say he was the most avoided fighter in boxing, which was true for some time, but now just says he'll fight anyone (if the money is right). There are great fights to be made, just not a lot of money

^ Hm...I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that one. The Cotto fight is the best I've ever seen Margarito, especially against a top tier opponent like Cotto, which was his toughest opposition by a mile.

I agree with you on Mayweather to a point (but Mayweather's main point was these fighters haven't fought anybody on his level to prove they deserved the shot), but the only reason I brought him up is Margarito called him out, and now he is doing the same thing to Clottey that he accused Mayweather of doing. He did the same thing to Paul Williams but got forced to fight him. I don't mind him gettin money just don't be a hypocrite about it. just say man i need to get money while it's out there to take care of my family for life. I respect that, but give Clottey his shot. He has proved he belongs in the same ring with the best of the best... Shit Clottey has a belt, it's not like it's a wasted fight where if he loses there was no reward out there (but money is a greater reward and I understand that). Margarito stands the chance to win and capture another belt.

I want to see Chad get it, but if he thinks Tarver is gonna lay down aor fight like he did against Hopkins it could be a mistake on his behalf.

Fuck the Klitschko/Peter fight altogether. i think it was wrong to force Peter to have to fight Vitali. They know he is the only threat to Wvladimir's reign so they hope he loses, but i hope he knocks vitali the fuck out

margarito looked better against lujan and he looked WAY better against Cintron the first time. That's the closest I've seen Margarito to his prime. You can't watch that first fight with Cintron and tell me he didn't look way better and look a lot more like a fresher fighter. He looked noticeably different from the first fight with kermit to the 2nd.

light heavyweight fights bore me. Not as much as heavyweight fighters do though. But I still wanna watch that card.

What other cards are y'all lookin forward to? I really wanna see Darchinyan vs. Mijares.

anyone care about the Chad Dawson vs Antonio Tarver and Peter vs V. Klitschko card this saturday? I believe its on Showtime.

I don't really care that much but I hope Dawson wins. And I hope a giant turd from the sky falls on the Peter/klitschko fight.

I can't get too excited about that Klitschko fight this weekend. I think the promoters are still holdng their breath that he makes it to the ring saturday night and won't get hurt before the fight.

Well I know I'm definitely in the minority on this one but Pavlik vs Hopkins on OCT. 18th, simply because Hopkins is my favorite fighter (i know he's old as dirt and is boring these days but still).

After that, nothing really jumps out at me until De La Hoya/Pacquiao. Calzaghe/Jones will be aiiight, David Haye/Monte Barrett, lacy/taylor. Nothing too exciting coming up unfortunately.

Not only that but it's complete bullshit that Vitali Klit is getting a shot at Peter w/o fighting anyone else. They (the WBC) call him the "champion emeritus," lol, it's the biggest scam ever. Basically they gave him this status when he retired so that if he ever came back he'd automatically get a mandatory title shot without having to work his way up the rankings. A total scam and complete bullshit. The "champion emeritus" bullshit was invited when Mike Tyson went to prison, so that they could get him a title shot as soon as he got out.

Champion Emeritus

This questionable practice evolved from a situation in 1995 when Mike Tyson was released from prison. Before he even threw a competitive punch, he was installed as the #1 contender by the WBC. The boxing world exploded in controversy. To that point, it was the most obvious evidence of blatant corruption by any of the Alphabet Bandits.

As a result of that finger-pointing and subsequent lawsuits, the WBC created an informal and honorary "champion emeritus" clause which grants a retired fighter or a fighter who is on a self-induced sabbatical to lay claim to the title since they didn't lose it in the ring.

Definition: "retaining an honorary title corresponding to that held immediately before retirement."

Another quality move by one of the most pathetic boxing organizations in the world.

you don't need to go through all that trouble, I'm sure I can find a link at boxingarchive, was hoping for a quick small file or something so I don't have to download entire DVD version and mess up my ratio even more.
Seed the shit out of it .. the trick is try to catch the shit as it goes up. My ratios at like 1.701 and I've downloaded a grip of shit.
