DJs, producers and remixers will now be able to get paid through the latest expansion of SoundCloud’s Premier program.
Launched in 2014, Premier is an invite-only branch of SoundCloud’s service that allows artists to monetize their pages for ad revenue. This new expansion will allow users to get paid for their mixes and remixes. After a not–so–great track record with both those things, the company recently struck deals to not take down mixes for copyright infringement.
“DJs and producers who create sets, remixes and other forms of creative works will now be invited to join our SoundCloud Premier program and earn revenue for the tracks they share,” the site wrote in a new blog post.
SoundCloud Premier remains invite-only, but you can learn more and contact SoundCloud here.
