Bay Area singer/songwriter/producer Jane Handcock just released her newest album, the sleek and layered Where’s Jane? 1.5 and delivered a captivating performance inside the Echoing Soundz and Walter Mosley Firm “Fa La La Holiday Bash”in Hollywood on Wednesday. Wiz Khalifa, Keke Palmer, Rosa Acosta, Eric Bellinger, RoccStar, Gangsta Boo, Andre’ Truth and other artists and celebrities supported the event, which featured a winter wonderland of trees, lights and snow, hot chocolate, a special “Jane Handcock” themed drink and even an ice skating rink! Jane had a packed house of party-goers entranced as she opened with an Erykah Badu cover and continued into most recent single “My Ni**a.”
Where is Jane? 1.5 is another flawless example of why Jane Handcock consistently has well-known recording artists approaching her to work together. The collection of tracks (which includes the previously released hits “No Doubt” and “Who Dis?”) showcases Jane’s sought-after lyrical abilities and the vocal skills and presence she’s mastered during her recent time in the spotlight.
