When Kendrick Lamar’s buzz first began picking up, most knew he would become a force in the game. Even though he represented a different style, he had love for the traditional sound of the West Coast. Enough of the humble Kendrick Lamar, he jumped on Big Sean’s new song, “Control,” and he went off.
Daz Dillinger, one third of Tha Dogg Pound, took to Twitter and reiterated the comments made by Kendrick Lamar on the song. Even though he also mentioned all the other rappers on the record, New York still took offense. Since he already went at New York once, it was nothing for Kurupt to step in.
N.O.R.E. caught wind of Kurupt’s tweets and now the stage is set for another war between the East and West Coast. Unlike the original one from 1995-1997, this beef looks like it will play out primarily through Twitter. Another difference is the chance in mentality, once Kurupt made his post, N.O.R.E. swiftly responded.
