MC Eiht is set to drop a brand new EP release, the appropriately titled Keep It Hood, and first solo effort since 2007’s Representin’, the Compton’s Most Wanted front-man and international producer Brenk Sinatra, who actually hails from Vienna, have come together in unison to form and create what has quickly turned out to become a musical match made in Hip-Hop heaven. The eagerly awaited, seven-track collection, due out on New Year’s Eve, was literally just introduced via its slinky lead offering, “The Reign,” with signature scratches courtesy of the iconic DJ Premier.
For Eiht, who can also be heard on the stand-out track “m.A.A.d. city” from Kendrick Lamar’s currrent chart-topping 2nd solo effort, Good Kid, M.A.A.D City, Keep It Hood is only a small taste, a pre-lude if “you” will, of what is destined to come when he unleashes his highly anticipated fourteenth solo LP, Which Way Iz West, in early spring ’13.
