Loc The Blacktopper a notable street artist from the San Joaquin’s Central Valley, born and raised on the blacktop’s of Fresno, Ca. Loc The Blacktopper started rapping while rehabilitating from injuries after being shot in the face during a gang related drive by, losing his right eye. Interacting through music and the streets, Loc joined a rap group called “The Blacktopperz”. The group later disbanded before releasing their first project due to a members death and Loc being incarcerated in Wasco State Prison for drug related charges. Shortly after being released from prison Loc vowed never to return and take his music career a step further, picking up where he left off solo, going on the road and in town show’s with other independent artist like RBL Posse, C Bo, Spider Loc, Kokane, Spice 1 and many others.

After appearing on various compilations like The Left Side V.1 & 2, Community Service V.2 & various mixtapes, to releasing his first compilation album “Ghetto Activist, Adapt & Overcome”. Now, The Blacktopper is currently working on his official solo album “Independency & Structure” set to be released April of 2013 through Bang West Productions/Blacktop Entertainment and distributed By Siccness.net. The album features Beta Bossalini, Intl Skeam & many other prominent independent artist. Production on the album is delivered by several producers most notably Dave Moss producer of Max B, Keith Murray, Goodie Mob and more. A thought provoking street album that defines the vision and mindset of a Blacktopper.

Not your average bragadocious rapper, Loc The Blacktopper’s music is considered conscience, political, passionate with a touch of West Coast street appeal. Coming from a long list as he would say, “Underprivileged and Have Not’s, Everything I Ever Got, Came From Selling Dope” a line that comes from a song titled “Crack”, which displays his mentality that reflects in his musical documentation, to simply achieve for more when you start life from the bottom.
