Following the release of her latest single “Bat Sh!t”, Austin-based rapper KB the Boo Bonic has recently debuted an accompanying visual and announced that she will drop the official “Bat Sh!t” mixtape early 2016. Directed and filmed by the Moon Guys on location in Austin, TX.
Produced by Troublemaker, the “Bat Sh!t” single serves as the mixtape’s title track; And, unveils the undeniably talented Houston-born and bred femcee as she rips through the bass-filled production. KB’s forthcoming mixtape will feature 12-tracks and the official music video for her follow up single “Willie Nelson” – a remix of Drake’s Jumpman. “Bat Sh!t” will be available for free download upon its release.
“The mixtape was a chance for me to have fun and kind of return to where I started freestyling. I didn’t try to make one kind of song like this or that,” says KB. “I just chilled in the studio, tried out some different things with my voice, and really just laughed at myself a lot. I also got my hands a little dirty on the production side and recorded the entire project myself.”
Known for her southern rap style and slick lyrical wordplay, KB the Boo Bonic started off freestyling as a teenager. Shortly after, she continued cultivating her passion for hip hop and began writing and creating music. She sharpened her chops freestyling and gained recognition as a viable opponent at house parties and local events when she moved to Austin to pursue a college degree in Mass Communication.
With the release of her second studio album “Farrah Flossitt” in early 2015, KB paid homage to the Charlie’s Angels star while flexing her lyrical prowess and solidifying her title as a boss chick. Throughout the years she has played numerous music festivals and showcases, sharing the stage with artists such as Raekwon of the Wu Tang Clan, Shwayze, Lil Debbie, Reef tha Lost Cauze, and many more. As she puts the finishing touches on the “Bat Sh!t” mixtape, KB is also gearing up for a showcase at SXSW 2016 in Austin.
