McFly’s connection to production duo, Play-N-Skillz, dates to 2010 after a chance meeting at the Texas Summer Music Conference. Under the moniker Enerita, Mikey would eventually sign to their G4 label through SRC/Universal Music Group, and gain regional success with the singles, “Body” (featuring Slim of 112), and Betty Crocker. After an amicable parting, McFly generated success once again under his Enertia handle with “Dat Azz Song,” which would become another regional success and reunite him with Play-N-Skillz, who put him on their club banger “Literally I Can’t (STFU),” featuring Redfoo and Lil Jon.
McFly has gained a wealth of knowledge and has been able to collaborate with hip-hop luminaries like Lil Wayne, Akon, Lil Jon, French Montana, Will.I.Am, Slim Thug, and the aforementioned Play-N-Skillz.
