NWA founding member DJ Yella shared several stories with VladTV about life after the group split up, including Bone Thugs-n-Harmony signing to Ruthless, Dr. Dre’s “The Chronic,” and more.
Yella started out by sharing his thoughts on “The Chronic,” which he thought was great, and then he addressed a question about Eazy-E signing off on Dre leaving Ruthless. The West Coast DJ explained that he didn’t get involved in the drama, but he added that he’s remained good friends with Dr. Dre throughout the years.
During the conversation Yella also spoke about Eazy and Ice Cube’s relationship after NWA split, revealing that they actually spoke about reuniting again before the “Real Muthaphuckkin G’s” emcee’s untimely death.
