The “Look at me Now” singer has been named a battery suspect following a violent basketball brawl in Las Vegas, according to police.
The 25-year-old was playing at the Palms Casino Resort just before 4 a.m. Monday when he allegedly punched an opponent when an argument broke out, police said.
The unidentified victim transported himself to a hospital where he was treated and then released for non-life threatening injuries.
Officers responding to the scene said they were unable to make contact with Brown.
Police said he’s now facing the options of either signing a citation for misdemeanor battery, or having the case submitted to the Clark County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
The singer’s latest bout with the law comes roughly six weeks after he completed probation for the brutal 2009 assault of his then-girlfriend, songstress Rihanna.
He had been under supervision by court and probation officers since pleading guilty to the pre-Grammy Awards attack.
Since that incident Brown has been charged with misdemeanor assault for striking a man outside a Washington Hotel.
He was ordered into rehab for that second attack but was eventually dismissed from the facility for violating its rules. He consequently spent two-and-a-half months in custody.
