According to Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, the controversy surrounding Eazy-E’s cause of death has damaged his legacy, but the group is hoping they can bring some fans back to the late rapper and revealed they’ll be performing ‘Foe Tha Love of $’ with an Eazy-E hologram at this year’s Rock The Bells.
Bizzy Bone explained that the group has always remained loyal to Eazy-E but thinks the rapper’s death from AIDs made some fans turn away. “Some people seem like they are afraid to commemorate him due to how he died. But Bone never once has — nor will stop — commemorating him,” Bizzy Bone told TMZ.
Krayzie Bone compared Eazy-E’s legacy to the Tupac and The Notoroius B.I.G. pointing out their deaths impacted their legacies. “They died being known as gangsta heroes. Eazy died from a disease … so many look at that differently,” added Krayzie.
Layzie Bone added that as far as he’s concerned no one has topped Eazy-E’s contribution to the game and the group plans to celebrate Eazy’s success. “The success Eazy left to the rap game is enormous and can’t be topped by anyone. We are going to make sure we have the stage full of Eazy love,” said Layzie Bone.
