He’s known locally in Phoenix by the name of Kor Capital but within the music video realm, he is notoriously known by the moniker of Cameralord. With a heavy arsenal of released videos on his YouTube channel, the video director now steps out onto another journey in music with a new mixtape series he’s dubbed, “Cactus Cuts”. The first volume is now available and features three, all new music singles. As expected, each of those songs will be accompanied by a music video shot by yours truly, #Cameralord.
The lead of single, “Trump”, carries a strong feature fro Chicago rapper, Billionaire Black. The artist has been continuously working with Kor over the past couple of years. Now with Black stationed in Phoenix, where Cameralord resides, the pair look to capitalize of their previous successes with the new release. Along with East Phoenix street artist, Bizzo, the trifecta present a powerful presentation that combines street lyrics with a civil pretense. Throwing shade to #45, Billionaire Black revisits his days coming up in the Windy City streets and more notably, the eight years that Barack Obama was in office.
Cameralord is well known for his gritty lens work that meshes cinematic edits, clever shot angles and a full color palette. He utilizes these talents ten fold for “Trump”, further adding fuel to the political aspects of the song. The video is a perfect example of what the two can cook up for those unfamiliar to either the rapper or videographer. Watch the “Trump” video here and then check out “Cactus Cuts Vol 1” afterwards, which features another Black feature, “Billie Jean”.
