As “BROCCOLI” climbs to the top of the charts, Big Baby D.R.A.M. returns with the song’s official video, featuring rapper Lil Yachty. Directed by Nathan R. Smith and Hidji Films, “BROCCOLI” finds D.R.A.M. and Lil Yachty playing keys and tooting horns while on a quest for that broccoli. And, it wouldn’t be official if not for a special appearance by D.R.A.M.’s beloved dog, Idnit.
“The feeling of ‘Broccoli’ is almost identical ‘Cha Cha,’ the singer/rapper says. “Being that the record came out of thin air, and the timing was what it was supposed to be, and it taps into the culture just like ‘Cha Cha,’ ‘Broccoli’ is like ‘Cha Cha 2.0.’”
“BROCCOLI,” produced by J-Gramm and co-produced by Rogét Chahayed and Karl Rubin, is D.R.A.M.’s highest charting song to date. It currently sits at No. 8 on Billboard Hot Rap Songs, No. 13 on Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, No. 39 on Billboard Hot 100, No. 4 on iTunes Hip-Hop Chart, and No. 30 iTunes US Songs Chart. “BROCOLLI” is No. 1 on SoundCloud, globally, with 38.6 million streams; It’s currently racking up 600,000 plays a day on SoundCloud. It’s also No. 8 on Spotify’s USA Chart with an average of around 650,000 plays a day, and it’s No. 3 on Apple Music with 550,000 plays daily.
Today also marks the relaunch of Big Baby D.R.A.M.’s official site, which features new merchandise such as the “BROCCOLI” hat that’s featured in the video.
