Bakersfield Rapper “Runitup Jaybo” Sentenced To 74 Years

Central Valley rap artist and alleged Gang Member “Jayden Christopher “Runitup Jaybo” Laughlin” has been sentenced to serve 74 years to life in prison for more than 20 felonies that include shooting, robberies, and attempted murder, according to the Kern County District Attorney’s Office.

It is said that the Bakersfield rapper’s demise began once he brandished a gun at several kids skateboarding at River Walk Park. Laughlin and other gang members demanded the victims’ phones, and money.

He would continue his crime spree, several weeks later. According to court reports “Laughlin” chased down a victim who sought to avoid him and other Warlord Piru gang members, and fired six rounds at the victim striking him in the arm and hip.

Laughlin would later seal his faith due to a road rage incident cutting off a man driving with his 5-year-old daughter on Wilson Road in May 2022. According to the Kern County District Attorney’s Office, he then fired seven rounds at the driver. Evidence would show that four bullets hit the vehicle and two struck nearby houses.

Outside of his crime stint “Runitup Jaybo” was building a local buzz with his rap career releasing fan favorites like “Little Do You Know“, “Tell The Truth”, “Block Beater”, and “No Strings Attached”.
