Not pretty much, exact same quality. HDMI is a digital signal, so nothing is different between generic and Monster Cable.

i bought 3 6-foot hdmi cables off amazon. 33 cents a piece. came out to like 9 bucks after shipping. they are very good quality and gold plated. havent used them yet but one was for my friend and he said its legit. but the build on them around the connectors seems solid as hell.
