Xzibit Slated to Guest Host 'Russ Parr Morning Show' On June 23 - 24

Hip Hop Master's Eagerly-Awaited New Album, Weapons of Mass Destruction, In Stores Tuesday, October 5

NEW YORK, June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The legendary West Coast hip-hop artist Xzibit will guest host the popular radio program, the "Russ Parr Morning Show," on Wednesday, June 23, and Thursday, June 24 (check your local listings).

Weapons of Mass Destruction, the eagerly-awaited new Xzibit album, is scheduled for release on Tuesday, October 5. The album is Xzibit's first since his #1 Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart topping Man vs. Machine was released in 2002.

Xzibit is the host of MTV's popular automobile makeover show, "Pimp My Ride." "PMR" is one of the most-watched programs on MTV, currently with stronger ratings than MTV's highly-popular "Newlyweds."

At the end of the 20th century, Xzibit established his reputation as one of the most potent forces in West Coast hip-hop with his albums At the Speed of Life (1996) and 40 Dayz & 40 Nightz (1998). The Dr. Dre-produced Restless (2000) -- featuring guest artists Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Dre himself -- was Xzibit's hip-hop manifesto for the new millennium. Xzibit's riveting performances were among the highlights of 2000's historic Up In Smoke tour, which also featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Ice Cube.

Xzibit was one of the featured performers on Eminem's historic Anger Management Tour, sharing bills with Eminem, Ludacris, Papa Roach, and Xzibit's Loud/Columbia labelmates, the X-Ecutioners.

The "Russ Parr Morning Show" can be heard weekdays by more than 3.2 million listeners in more than 45 cities across the country. The morning show has garnered numerous awards for being among the nation's best radio programs.
