He should go work his way back to the Bengals, according to Hue he has a special relationship with Mike Brown. I remember Hue saying something like Mike Brown had no intention of trading Palmer, so Hue pulled some strings and got Mike Brown to hook him up with palmer for only a 1st and 2nd round pick.

i guess that would be ideal, being that marvin lewis is a defensive-minded coach, hue jackson and jay gruden, who i think is cincinnati's offensive coordinator can further andy dalton's development as a quarterback...

hue as a specialist can be a killer. When he has a set group of guys to look after he does great. If he doesnt get hired as an oc, he will probably get hired on somewhere as a qb coach or something. Dudes got a passion for the game, his failure as a headcoach shouldnt get in the way of him getting another job.

I hope hue the best, I really enjoyed him as a coach before dmc and campbell got hurt. The creativity he brought to our offensive scheme gave the players and us fans something to be proud of, towards the end of the season he became retarded, but I still hope he makes a decent paycheck somewhere else

i dont think he will be put in that spot again in any other team if he is hired there as a cordinator or position coach. the team GM would tell him from the start to shut his tramp and im sure he wont put up a fight knowing what hes been through for not doin it..

Hue Jackson shows his Bengals stripes

Hue Jackson will benefit from the Carson Palmer trade, after all.

Jackson
Jackson
After being bypassed for offensive-coordinator jobs, Jackson is back in the NFL, back with the Cincinnati Bengals. In a strange move, Jackson – known as one of the best young offensive minds in the NFL – will assist defensive backs and special teams in Cincinnati. He hasn’t coached either position in the NFL, and hasn't coached special teams in 20 years. Jackson was considered a top offensive coordinator before he took over as the head coach in Oakland last year.

New Oakland general manager Reggie McKenzie fired Jackson last month.

This is Jackson’s second tour with the Bengals. He coached the receivers from 2004-06 under Bengals coach Marvin Lewis. This move signals that Jackson was willing to do anything to get back into the league. The Raiders will pay the difference between Jackson's salary from the Bengals and what he is due under his remaining contract in Oakland. Because he is not even a position coach, I wouldn’t imagine the Bengals are paying Jackson much.

It’s ironic that Oakland is paying Jackson to work in Cincinnati. Jackson credited his connections in Cincinnati for being able to get the Palmer trade done last October. The Raiders sent their first-round pick (No. 17) in 2012 to Cincinnati in 2012 plus either a first- or second-round pick in 2013 to get the then-31-year-old quarterback. At the time of the trade, Jackson said it was the “best trade in football.” The general consensus is that the Bengals fleeced Jackson in the trade.

His personnel decisions were one of the reasons why Jackson was fired. Oakland is slated to visit Cincinnati during the 2012 season in a matchup that could be juicy enough to merit prime-time consideration.

I’m sure Jackson will hope to get either head-coaching or offensive coordinator opportunities in 2013. But in the meantime, he will be an assistant in a familiar setting, albeit in an unusual fashion.

Naturally, Hue Jackson lands on his feet in Cincy

We couldn't help but laugh when the press release rolled in.

The Bengals announced the hiring of Hue Jackson on Friday as a defensive backs and special teams assistant, bringing the ex-Raiders coach home to the team he spent three seasons with from 2004 to 2006.

It is also the team he heaped precious gems upon this season when he pulled the trigger on a deal to bring disgruntled Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer to Oakland. In return, Cincy scored a first-round pick in this year's draft and a second-round selection in 2013, which could bump up to a first if the Raiders make the AFC title game next season.

Thanks, Hue, and welcome to the easiest job interview on earth.

Bengals: "So, Hue -- and thank you for the picks, by the way -- what can you do for the Cincinnati Bengals?"

Hue (in his best Stanley from "The Office" voice): "I've already done it."

Bengals: "Fair point. Can you hang around to sign some paperwork?"

Boom.

If this team possesses even a shred of poetic timing, Jackson's first public appearance comes on April 26, and not a minute sooner, as he strolls up to the podium to announce Cincy's No. 17 pick -- from Oakland, with love.

it shows he's willing to do whatever it takes to stay in the NFL. He'll either get bumped up to a better position on the bungles or move to greener pastures next year. its fucked that oakland gotta pay him the difference in salary tho, that could be why he's taking the job as sort of payback for being fired.
