Went here and entered my DOB (2/27/1973). And got these results (with some editing by myself):

28 - 9/11 attack on America
26 - First day of Y2K (only one bug at work)
22 - Oklahoma City bombing
21 - O. J. Simpson was charged with murder
20 - "Jurassic Park" comes out and so begins a new era in movie making (the best on-screen CG seen to date)
19 - '93 bombing of the World Trade Center
18 - "Wayne's World" comes out ("Party time..excellent!")
17 - Operation Desert Storm began
16 - Fall of the Berlin Wall
15 - "Colors" comes out" and opens the doors for movies like "Boyz N the Hood", "Juice", and "Menace II Society"
14 - N.W.A. releases "N.W.A. and the Posse" and so begins "gangsta rap"
12 - Space shuttle Challenger exploded (I watched it live, was late to school)
11 - The recording of "We Are The World" (strait "80's" right there) & "The Terminator" comes out ("I'll be bahck.")
10 - Apple introduced the Macintosh (Jeezus!)
9 - "E.T." comes out ("E.T. phone home.")
8 - Pres. Reagan was shot by John Hinckley, Jr. & MTV makes its debut (birth of a new nation)
7 - John Lennon is shot to death & first airing of "Hill Street Blues" (the show that started it all)
6 - Iran hostage crisis began & "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" comes out
4 - Elvis Presley Dies (and all the necks cried) & "Star Wars" comes out ("May the Force be with you.")
3 - U.S.'s bicentennial Fourth of July (Damn!)
2 - "Saturday Night Live" first aired and "Jaws" comes out ("We're going to need a bigger boat.")
1 - President Nixon left office ("I am not a crook")
