Film is the nicest when shot at the right time of day. Either when the sun is setting or rising. (6:00-6:30am or 5- 6:30pm) You wanna make sure the sun isnt too bright. That usually gets you blow outs of your lighter tones and then you lose detail. Think detail. That's the key. I rarely light day time exteriors. Natural is always better to me... captures truth. Its just more personal. Hope this helps.

Thanks. Is it best to avoid night shots? What do you think about After Effects creating rain and night and whatever? I've heard it's not too bad, but like you I prefer to do things natural.
