I love to see Floyd Mayweather Jr. Vs Manny Pacquiao but if this fight will not push thru (again for the 2nd time), I want to see Manny fighting against Valero or Shane Mosley.

I think it will be floyd. Too much money & too much demand for it not to happen.

It wont be Shane Mosley though, because if Mosley beats Floyd Mayweather on May 1st, Floyd has an immediate rematch clause in the contract so pac would have to wait for them to fight a second time.

So if it isn't floyd, the likely options are Edwin Valero, Antonio Margarito or Timothy Bradley.

Pacquiao is running for office and the elections are in May so the earliest we can see him fight again is around November of this year.

I think he's an idiot for running for office in the prime of his boxing career. I more pissed because we won't get to see him fight until probably the end of the year. You little fuck don't you know we like to watch you fight!

I'm not so sure they come to an agreement on the random blood testing, especially with Mosley agreeing to them.

Boxing writers are talking about this being the beginning of a new era, as far as the testing goes...I think that's bullshit. Unless state athletic commissions all change suit and follow, it isn't the beginning of anything.

Where is the money supposed to come from for these tests to be implemented across the board?

Who's gonna pay for random drug tests when Joe Evans fights Charlie McCoy in a small local promotion....?

Idiotic the way they went about it. Lobby to the commissions, offer to pay for the tests. That should have been done. That's why I think it had nothing to do with trying to 'clean up' the sport, and everything to do with gaining a psychological edge.

You can look at in either two ways:

trying to gain a psychological edge or

you can look at it as Mayweather is really trying to clean the sport up. Athletes cheat period. Vargas (tested positive), Shane (admitted he took EPO), Margarito (got busted trying to load his gloves).

Shane didn't get caught (he admitted to a grand jury during that Balco/Barry Bonds stuff).

I still don't feel that, that was a cop out to be honest with you. What if Pacman would have agreed? I think it was more of a cop out on pacman's part. But we can save that discussion for another thread.

I think pacman's next opponent should be the winner of the Mayweather/Shane fight if people continue to call Pacman the best WW.

If he was trying to clean up the sport, then why wouldn't he lobby to the commission?

Anyways, I'd love to see him fight the winner of May-Mosley.

I think he'll end up fighting Valero in Arlington. I wouldn't complain about that one.

^ I don't think he's scared of Pacquiao, I just think he's afraid of losing his '0' and I think that Pacquiao represents the biggest threat to that '0' he would have ever faced.

^I think Shane is the biggest threat.

Maybe a few years back he was. We don't even know if his legs are going to be around in the fight for a whole 12 rounds.

At this point in time, Pacquiao is more of a threat to Floyd because he can go 12 rounds non-stop and at a pace Floyd isn't accustomed to.
