^^illustrator would be alot better to make it in but in photoshop u could just straight up draw those people or if theyre pictures of people just use the magnetic lasso, magic wand or sumtin to select the certain parts of them and then either fill them with black, white or watever color, then add the details like the wrinkles by drawing them in, there would be other ways in photoshop but thatd be the quickest/easiest IMO...but drawing them or live tracing them in illustrator would alot better because its a vector program, photoshop is rasterized so it'll most likely make it come out pixelated. But if u do do it in photoshop make them at a hella big size, then shrink them down to wat u want them to be, this will lessen the obviousness of the pixels

Lasso tool is the last thing you want to do. If you are drawing them on your own or making them from scratch you want to use the pen tool either in PS or Illustrator.

I was saying use the lasso tool, if your taking an existing picture of someone and making them to look like that..selecting their parts and just making them all black or all white. alot of people cant use the pen tool to trace ove sumtin right away if they dont kno how to use it. If your drawing them from scratch obviousley u wouldnt use the lasso tool...

The lasso tool is choppy and you won't get that clean line vectored look.
true, unless you do it really well. if you use a combo of the differnt lasso tools and the marquee tools, or erase around the edges to smooth it out..but he probly wouldnt know how do to that right away so that might not be the easiest way

Dude in no way does the lasso tool compare to the ease and look of the pen tools results. With the lasso if you mess up after tracing for 3 minutes you're going to have to start again. It's like trying to say that you can make a wood carving with a spoon and get the same results as if you used a knife as long as you took your time.

this isn't true, with the lasso you can keep adding to the selection or subtract from the selection whenever you want. i'm on a Mac so the keys you hold down might be different on a Windows machine. lets say you trace the head only but now you want to add the body or even something seperate from the head to that selection, just hold the shift key (you'll see a little + sign next to the lasso) and start tracing again. if you screw up and need to subtract something from the selection, hold down the option key (you'll see a - icon next to the lasso) and take out what you don't want.

also WHILE using the lasso tool you can hold down the option key and it'll change to the polygonal lasso tool so you can make straight lines, or let go of the mouse button to rest your finger or something, just be sure to keep holding down the option key, then when you let go of the option key it'll be the normal lasso again. make sense?

Pen Tool > Lasso Tool. Theres no ifs ands or buts. Anchor points make shit sooooo much easier that there isn't even a conceivable comparison. With anchor points you can forever go back and adjust. It's accurate. Ask anyone doing vector work if they use the pen tool or if they lasso all of there shapes....
