Must not be too much of a difference if she keeps selling. Her last 3 fights have lasted a combined minute and a half, yet people not only come back, but they cheer her.
Well yeah there's a big difference in popularity and excitement obviously. I mean what she's doing is pretty incredible don't get me wrong, she's headlining cards and selling decent numbers (amazing for a female athlete) but it's not similar to Mike Tyson obviously lol. Something about heavyweight knockout artists just are more entertaining, there's more excitement, imo. She has fans and the hardcore ufc fans that buy ufc ppv's and that's great. I think they say she did 340k buys before that's really solid (again incredible being that its a female).

Rad. I was talking about a KO artist, not boxing vs mma. Reading comprehension.
Rad. but actually, you were talking about entertainment and excitement. dementia.

here guy, take a quick read.
Yeah but there's a difference in entertainment value between a devastating heavyweight knockout and an armbar. IMO anyways.

You literally still can't figure out I was not talking about boxing vs mma? I was clearly talking about the value in entertainment between a KO and an armbar (KO's aren't limited to boxing dipshit). Again IMO, quick KO >>> quick armbar. My opinion. If you'd rather see a quick armbar than a body laying unconscious on the mat from a devastating punch, kick or knee than you're in a small percentage of people, I'm sure. And then you come at me talking about Mayweather/boxing as if that had something to do with the topic at hand? Again, reading comprehension.

cool, KO's are super duper cool! i agree.

InfamousICON was comparing Rousey to Tyson, based on a comment about purchasing fast ass PPV main events, cus that sucks. you got offended on behalf of boxing and would not stand for the slightest of comparison, throwing in the good ol' KO vs armbar comparison and entertainment and excitement. coming all in with a KO vs an armbar like it had to do with the topic at hand.

i then added on to your "exciting" and "entertaining" talk, and of course you were technically comparing boxing to MMA (boxing don't have armbars dipshit) so i used the non-excitement of Mayweather compared to an exciting armbar.

trust me, i understand your initial post.

My god man. My very simple point was the difference is people usually get a better value out of a KO. That is all. By the looks of things it appears you got offended by making some irrelevant point about Mayweather/boxing. Some of the greatest knockouts ever in life were MMA KOs, I wasn't making any boxing vs mma comparisons.

Not sold on Holly Holm at all. She looked like she was sparring the whole fight and just using her reach to keep her opponent away. Most of the top 8 or 9 will eat her alive.

I only bring this up cause she held up the UFC for like 2 years for big money and even originally wanted a title shot in her contract for her first fight.
her manager wanted that title shot more than she did. she herself don't think she's ready, nor do her coaches. she didn't look like "Holly Holm" in there, but that mighta been chalked up to nerves. chick had hella pressure on her to perform. the only one in the top 10 i can see giving her problems on her feet is Evil Eye. everybody else is probably stronger than Holm but i don't think they can see her on her feet. and Rousey will submit her in the first round.

Ronda Rousey says that she’d like to give Cat Zingano a rematch

Ronda Rousey defeated Cat Zingano in a record amount of time Saturday night in UFC 184, but that doesn’t mean that the MMA superstar is ready to move on to the challenges. In fact, Rousey said after the fight that she would be happy to give Zingano a rematch.

Rousey (11-0) was able to put Zingano (9-1) in an armbar in just 14 seconds, making it the shortest UFC fight title fight, involving men or women, on record. Saturday’s result meant that the 16 seconds it took her to win her previous fight is now the third-shortest in UFC history.

After the fast finish, Rousey went over to Zingano, who was kneeling, stunned, on the canvas. Ronda was asked what she said to her previously undefeated opponent in that moment. Here is her account:

“I said that we should do this again. I think she definitely deserves another shot.

“You know, sometimes fights just go down like that. I’m lucky to have a lot of experience in judo, and there were times I walked out and just got dumped on my head right away, and I just wasn’t myself that day.

“It didn’t mean that I didn’t deserve to be in that fight, or that I couldn’t beat the other person. It was just, for some reason, I wasn’t there. And I understand that feeling, and I know what Cat is capable of, and I would definitely like to see more of what she is capable of. “

For her part, Zingano said, “Some things in life you don’t get on the first shot, some things take a few times.”

Of course, the opponent many want to see Rousey take on next is Christiane “Cyborg” Justino, who herself scored a speedy victory Friday night, taking out Charmaine Tweet in just 46 seconds at Invicta FC 12. However, Justino fought at 145 pounds, and UFC president Dana White said that she would need to shed 10 pounds in order to take on Rousey.

“She’s gotta make the weight,” White said. “[Rousey] will fight her in a minute, if [Cyborg] makes 135 pounds.”

In the meantime, Rousey, who has expressed admiration for Zingano’s efforts in overcoming hardship and personal loss, may simply want to do Zingano a kind of favor by increasing her visibility – and bankroll – via a rematch. By contrast, Rousey has expressed disdain for Justino, saying in November, “Cyborg, I was looking forward to fighting her, but if by ‘injured’ you mean she took too many steroids and can’t make weight, she’s extremely injured right now and is unavailable.”

boxing's biggest star is a boring ass fighter, Mayweather. not entertaining at all. i'll take an armbar over a dude hiding behind his shoulder any day.
I don't think Floyd is boring. I think he's one of the most entertaining fighters currently boxing. I watch him for his speed, defense, ring generalship and the "he was just there now he is way across the ring" moments. He's the most polished fighter and I enjoy watching that. What is "entertainment" to one person may be crap to another.

i feel you. and that's where he gets love from the boxing community, cus what he does is part of the game and he aced that science class. it was just a comparison to the KO/armbar comparison, based on "excitement" and "entertainment". a lot of people love the way Mayweather fights and i can respect those opinions.
