This really isn't the first time Floyd has ducked a fight. True Mayweather fans shouldn't be that shocked.

I'm a fan of Floyd's boxing and defensive skills but not his personality. I believe Mayweather can beat Manny, but at the same time he's being a little pussy about it. What can you do...

Better to hear it from the horses mouth than the horses stinking behind!

See, just things like this though.
Why would someone make an announcement that they are going to make an announcement? I would understand a speech or an interview, but twitter is just a couple lines. He has to think about it for a full day as to what he is going to post?

It's just strange.

"You're constantly hearing different rumors that Floyd is fighting this guy, Floyd is fighting that guy," Mayweather told fighthype.com. "At this particular time, I'm not fighting anyone."

On reports he's slated to fight Victor Ortiz in September: "Absolutely not! Absolutely not! I think Victor Ortiz ... he's a young, strong fighter, but the thing is, the stories you hear are lies, lies, lies, period!"

Yes believe whatever he says Tony!

Maybe Mayweather was just being smart and not making a announcement for the fight until he actually secured Victor Ortiz and his testing terms. You know like a smart business man. He is getting $40 million for this fight so we all know he's a smart business man.

I was just showing tony not everything he says is gospel.

If he makes $40 million I don't know how that would be possible you would guess the PPV will do around 1.4-1.5 million buys. $40 million is more than he made against Oscar and that was 2.4 million (or whatever it was).

But I don't know the details of the contract there could be outside money included in there which would make more sense. 50 cent seems to be somehow involved in this based on his tweets (and he also said this is a tune up for Pacquiao so hopefully that's true).

Still, whatever it is it will be a crazy amount of cash undoubtedly, so yeah obviously if you can be away from boxing for 16 months and still get that kind of cash you're a smart business man.

I never said everything he said is gospel, but while we're talking gospel why don't you practice what you preach, because you seem like the biggest hyprocrite on here. You're real quick to post any bad news related to Floyd Mayweather (like it's gospel) or stupid news like how much money he supposedly turned down in regards to fighting Pacquiao.

So while you're busy posting and showing me that everything Floyd says isn't gospel, why don't you post that vid of Bob Arum's response to Floyd turning down that $65 mill? LMFAO!!

what stupid shit do I post about floyd you sensitive twat? I haven't been bashing floyd. Hazel posts all those crazy, random articles. I posted one source a couple days ago in regards to the "65 million" floyd was offered because a couple people were talking about it and I said "IF THIS IS TRUE..." meaning I have no way of knowing if it was. Immediately after I posted an article about a possible Canelo vs Pac for the same amount of cash and I said the same thing, "IF THIS IS TRUE...".

95% of the stuff I post in here are facts, or just my personal opinions. I'll post occasional rumors if it's from a respectable source, and the ones I posted the other day were on The Ring Magazines website, which I do respect.

I'm such a Floyd basher apparently, and yet I'll be 100% cheering for him against Ortiz, I've discussed and broke down why I think floyd will likely knock him out and if the odds aren't too bad I will bet several hundred on floyd to win.
