I went to Dude fest over the weekend, Portraits of past is one of the best screamo bands still around
My girlfriend wants me to go to Warped tour, but they have so many shitty emo Scene bands. Im like WTF happened to Deftones, thursday, thrice and all of them
I dont think Im going this year.

I saw Torche and Harvey Milk last night and was pretty suprised that there were only like 120 people there...because I consider Torche one of the bigger 'underground' bands out there and figured a large hipster crowd would be in effect....I'd actually say this show had the least amount of weirdos then I've seen all year lol. Both bands are awesome but neither of their sets blew me away

There seems to be no good shows coming to Toronto in the next couple months. For the fifth biggest city in North America, I don't see why there can't be 1 good show a week.

Yeah but Portraits of Past just got back together not too long ago. I agree though because they are one of my faves and always have been. Them, Raein, I,Robot, Kidcrash, Indian Summer, Cease Upon the Capitol, Funeral Diner, Orchid, etc etc... I miss shit like that. Some of them are still going in some form or another under different names.

I was just checking out the line up for Dude fest yesterday, did you go all three days?

Young Widows are so fucking good live. Comadre fucking slays too. Those are the only two bands who played Dude fest this year that I have ever seen live.

There are a few bands that played that I still need to catch live like Hewhocorrupts, Torche, Magrudergrind, Portraits of Past, Shitstorm, Mammoth Grinder, Forensics and Phoenix Bodies.

Manchester Orchestra is a great band. Although I'd much rather see them play with Glassjaw of course. Hell, I'd much rather them come here while on that tour at all. Why the fuck are they only going to Portland and not Seattle too?

By the way I really hope we get a new Glassjaw album by the end of the year.

I'm beginning to feel Ive seen the fall of troy too many times, I suppose I'm seeing them on the 25th though.
Thursday playing with them hopefully means they're playing their heavier side of Common Existence
My favorite part of the album by the way.

Weedeater fuckin destroyed, I'm sore as fuck and still can't hear shit! Rwake played a couple of new songs and they sounded amazing, makes the wait for the new album all that much more excruciating.
Found out Outlaw Order are gonna be coming through in Sept so definitely looking forward to that (Eyehategod minus Jimmy Bower basically)
