Is Patton a musician as well as a singer? I've seen him live a few times with Fantomas and heard a few things from him - the newest Bohren und der club of gore album features him. Anyways that soundtrack post was pretty tight. Never got into Mr. Bungle or Faith No More........

the music was interesting. I remember this from the house party scene:

what genre of music is this? I wiki'd "salem" and says the band is "witch house, electronic, industrial, dark wave, ethereal wave, hip-hop"

the fuck is "witch house"??

I notice these types of slow, simplistic beats are pretty damn common these days. I'm so out of loop with music these days though ::shrugs::

Idk wtf I just listened to and watched but that shit was dope.

Is that the actual video for the song? That shit was disgustingly awesome.

Even with the messy marv song the music they played for that party scene was dead on. overall this movie sucked. I dont think the 3 part construct works for this, it peaks too early with

SPOILER

Luke's death. It was also like 35 minutes in, just enough for me to start giving a shit about the guy. I really don't think they made Avery's character likable or hatable enough, in either way, for us to give a shit. In fact the most tension-filled relationship was the two sons, and even that was mediocre. Ben Mendolsohn, who I loved in Killing Them Softly (a similar character), was great as Luke's friend. also it was way too long, the dialogue was laughable and a sudden swoop "15 years later" is like a sequel within a movie.

It was pretty predictable. The last part of the story was kinda lame with those 2 characters but wasn't bad. Overall, I enjoyed the movie. Ryan Gosling's voice during the bank robbery scenes still has me laughing a few days later. I keep talking to my wife in that voice

Finally watched this tonight.

Overall a good movie, I liked the breakdown of the 3 intertwined stories. Kind of wish the Luke character stuck around a little more, and I didn't like the part of the plot where one little recorded tape magically brought down a police department, seems like he would have needed a little more lol

I give it a 3.5/5, good concept, great performances from the actors. I'd watch it again.
