from a UW fan:

I flew in for the game and went today with my girlfriend. We were both decked out in our Hawks gear and ready for a bit of harassment, but I was not prepared for what we got. Going inside the gate we were being yelled at to @#$k off by a bunch of bandanna wearing, gold tooth ghetto trash but I took that in stride. In the bathroom I dropped my ticket and their fans called out to pee on it. I picked it up and told them they were classy. People got in my face and headbutted me twice but not hard enough that I would call it full assault. I was much pushed out by all their fans and didn't fight back because my girlfriend was being yelled at by a bunch of nappy headed gorillas outside.

the stands were no better. I have never had to control my temper that much in my life and if my girl wasn't there I'd gladly take the trip to jail to fight back.

I felt like it was gang night in a third world stadium. Candlestick is a S-hole and so many of the fans are pure ghetto trash. I've NEVER said that about any other fanbase, even oregon. In oregon they don't have gang members ready to stab you.

Talking to hawk fans coming out they had similar stories and the guy sitting next to me on the bus had his glasses broken. So much hate in that crowd.

ummmm..... as a seahawks fan this dude sounds like a whiny little racist bitch.

EDIT: Once you start calling people 'nappy headed gorillas' I kinda start wishing you had actually gotten your ass kicked.

^^^and if he's being head-butted, and "had to control his temper" he's a pussy. Dont act like you were gonna do something about it if u didnt fucking do shit. and these types of people always are instigating too and not telling the full truth. all they can resort to saying about Niners fans at Candlestick are that they are "thugs or gangsters." pure faggotry.

AND he had to see his team lose. good riddance.

Good game by the niners today, they needed it more and played like they had to have it. We missed alot of opportunities and just didnt deserve to win. Niners have won by a combined 9 points the last two games in SF. Hawks have won by a combined what 60 something points the last two games up here? Wasnt even that mad after the game, we got beat, on to the next game. 11-2 isnt nothin to sneeze at. Still in the drivers seat.

tempers can get heated anywhere esepcially with how amped this game was...here you had seahack fans setting up their "12" flags in our parking lot like they were at home...and then they have this fucking plane come through right around noon with a banner reading "go hawks 12" or some shit...not sure if anyone has heard anything about this but were getting a fucking billboard in seattle for the niners so the seahack fans can drive or walk past it for 6 months lol...its a great investment i think

also while tailgating, a neighbor of ours came through with his truck full of snow..we had some good times pelting seahack fans with snow balls ..it was fun, the game was better and i didnt see one fight...lots of shit talking but nobody was swinging..nothing extreme as what i expected to be ...

the ride down the escalator was amazing as seahack fans scattered and left rather quickly lol

and this don imus calling still calling people nappy headed gorillas i see.....he's lucky he didnt catch a beating and if thats what would come out of his mouth its a good thing he did "hold his tongue" because jail would be the best outcome of that situation for him..niner fans arent punks..the wine/cheese crowd that was it in th 80's/90's..they still here but not in a huge abundance..our fan base has changed and evolved...we still classy, and tolerate a lot..but we dont get walked on...and anytime i go as a visitor to another teams home...i keep it classy and respectable because shit can go down quickly if you come off like a punk

Although the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, preventing Seattle from clinching the NFC West title, cornerback Richard Sherman was unimpressed, blaming the loss on "questionable calls" from officials in the game.

In comments after the 19-17 loss, Sherman said he expected the Seahawks (11-2) would crush the 49ers (9-4) at Candlestick Park.

More Seahawks-49ers coverage
The Seahawks felt like they did themselves in with penalties. They congratulated the 49ers with the equivalent of a golf clap, and walked away from a loss believing they are still the team to beat, writes Terry Blount. Blog

The 49ers won this round, but they will likely have to beat the Seahawks in Seattle in the playoffs, writes Bill Williamson. Blog

•*M. Williamson: Seattle still best

"We didn't project it to be this way," Sherman said, according to the 49ers' official website. "We expected to blow them out, but they got the benefit of a few calls tonight throughout the game, and that helps you especially on third down. We will see them again, and it will be a different result."

It happens in almost all sports, but one thing I don't like is games being decided by the clock.

Even when it's my team winning it just feels less satisfying when a close game is decided because time runs out. Other than by teams just being outright beaten (Saints - Panthers last night) I don't think there is any way to remove that element.

Hawks went away from the run more than I expected yesterday.
