It's not awful. Last week when I went again it was hella bitches, BUT the DJ was TRASH. I mean TRASH, TRASH. This dude last week didn't play anything up to date....NOTHIN. The dude this week was 10x better. Not sayin he was good, just sayin how dude last week was trash. But I think since they are new, they are getting a feel for what type of crowd they attract. With time I think they will start playin ALL the up-to-date shit. You know KC though, once they do the wrong type of crowd will come and shut that bitch down. That place doesn't suck though. I wonder if Tech can get a show there one day. Now THAT would be tight.
That's what I'm talkin bout. It looks bigger or the same size as the Uptown Theater. I mean the inside itself. I don't think they will though. Cuz that place as far as oncerts is for the guest in the hotel there I assume, and they are not from here, and don't care to see Tech. But that would be wassup if they could do a Tech concert.

I used to be a dealer a Harrah's and I understand the casino business, first off Nick is right, the place is fucking garbage, the chicks you see there are all there to see the Chiefs in attendance, and rub up against middle forties wealthy men that don't know what to do with thier money, that club is not even really a club. Casino's try to put every vice at the tip of your fingers so you don't leave the property, meaning, money, women and liquor, and if you notice the drinks in the club are TWICE the amount of the drinks in the casino, because they want you to go back into the casino to drink, (where you might lose some of your money.) I would almost bet anything that Tech will never do a show there, ever. Casino's shoot for a group called AEP's (avid experienced players). AEP's only account for 20% of the people that walk in the door, but they account for 80% of the moneys gambled there. The other 80% of people that walk in only account for 20% of the money. So really the Tech fans are not quite the demographic they are shooting for.
So they play shitty music, it takes 30 fucking minutes to get a drink, and if you go to the bar itself, 20 min, cause the bartender is practicing his bottle throwing tricks. And believe me, if the crowd doesnt change soon, the music might turn into straight 80's rock, and country music, and that is from a source inside the casino. Fuck, they do fucking kareoke three nights a week already, what a blast.
Plus most of the "BADD BITCHES" you saw in there this week were there for a going away party for some girls I know. That atleast accounted for 30 of the women you saw.

That all MIGHT be true. The drinks are WAAYYYY to high. But like I said last week I seen Larry there, and I saw him maybe 3-4 times throughout the night......seem him talkin to no bitches. Not sayin he don't/can't get bitches we all know about him, but they wasn't stuntin' him. Half of them prolly didn't know who he was either. He had the dark shades on too. Derrick Johnson was there by himself I think. I saw him in the corner of the dance floor standing by himself.......chillin. The we went upstair to Twist...........WTF that is for I don't now. It's just the Casino....why is there a diff. name to it. Like it's another club or somethin. But as far a the crowd changing............I don't get or agree with that at all. They know what type of crowd will show up when the play "DECENT" music most of the time. When there is a club here....a nice club that plays good music has a nice crowd, niggas for the bezzies, and vice versa....it gets around. Like "Evolution"............I tried 3 weekends in a row to get up in that bitch, and NO success. I went early too. But if they are tryin to keep black people out...cuz that's what they/you are tryin to say, then they shoulda never started playin hip hop music. I wouldn't be too suprised though. Every other clubdoes that. Ain't nothin even went down there either.
You are missing my point, this doesnt have to do with black people, right now most of Tech's fans are not black (sad but true) so I am not saying that at all, what I am saying is when they play hip hop, it is old and poppy style music, because the middle 40's crowd loves edited versions of nelly's music. Really, you shouldn't call this a club, it is an ATTRACTION at best, if you notice, every casino has a club now, because they want people on the property. They don't want you to have a good time and stay, otherwise the club would stay open past 1:30 and they really start kicking people out at 1:15. As far as my club dollar, its shitty. If I have been sitting at a poker table for 6 hours and I want to go look at some ass, I'll place my lunch ticket on my chips and head down there, and take my seat at the table an hour later, but that's about all it's worth.

OK now you are talkin about Tech, and a concert there I assume. I was talkin about the club itself. I see VERY few peeps over 40. So I don't know what you are lookin at. You also said you heard form a inside source if the crowd doesn't change, the music will. The crowd at this point is majority black (60/40). But it's all good. I have a good time. But about Larry and Derrick....you said the chicks are their for Chies players, and i'm sayin the times I did see them, they weren't talkin to chicks or vice versa. Derrick I seen him at the top of elevator in Twist talkin to some chick, but that was AFTER the club.
My point was...............Why do you care if they (Larry or Derrick)are there, they don't give a shit if you are, they arent there to sign autographs. yeah i agree that in a few months Voodoo isn't gonna be shit. But I went for the first time about 2 months ago and shit was crazy. DJ Klever(??) was spinnin and he shut the place down, only playin maybe 4 or 5 horrible songs all night. And everything was new or fairly recent. Tech and Krizz came through about 12:45, but didn't stay too long. Now...I went back about 3 weeks ago and shit was absolutly horrible, and it was a different dj. I don't know about yall but i don't care to hear Montel Jordan or Michael Jackson anymore, well at least not in the club!!! Maybe people don't recognize Larry Johnson though, I saw him at Mickeys Irish Pub back in October or November lookin real sad all by himself. I was waitin to see if he was gonna fumble his Corona, LOL...Nah, much luv to LJ. But, Voodoo is definately on its way out!!
