a reason why i said the NFL's idea of "proving" before the big bucks is bullshit...because these athletes are alreasy exploited enough..

and then "i fucked your mom" tried to argue the dumbass argument.."free education"...

Jason Whitlock says...

"In exchange, the football and basketball players get a half-baked shot at an education they're not prepared for upon arrival and a long-shot audition for pro scouts"

"The NCAA pays its basketball and football players with a currency (education) many of them aren't prepared to spend or value. That has to change, and it's incumbent on the NCAA to be a big part of the change"

Again, athletes are given shcolarships and it is up to THEM to use it to their full potential, period. If they want to half-ass and take a bunch of gym classes, then they flutered that away.

Bascially, it is on the individual to be prepared to go into the real world. At 18 years of age, you are an ADULT. If some HS kid wants to bank his or her career SOLELY on football or basketball, then guess what? That is THEIR bad. If they get injured and have NO education becuase they fucked if off, they deserve to be broke. Fuck em.

Im gettin tired of people blaiming institutes for an individual's failures. If you can not funtion as a free-thinking human being and then go and blame someone else for YOUR faults, you should be killed instantly.

And even through ALL this...you are STILL missing the point. Imagine that.

College tuition for four years... $35,000... TV revenue for coach 'K' and the rest of those Blue Devils... Millions...

BITCH...! Where's my money...!
LOL @ this

Youre right, becuase once a person gets a degree in something, they just throw it in a pile of dirty clothes and go get a job at McDonalds.

Uhhhhh...hello, genius...ever thought that maybe if these kids got a 4-year degree, they could turn $35,000 for four years, into a $100,000 a year job???

Man, you're missing the point... While these kids can't take a single penny from anyone while they're in school everyone around them cashes in (big time) on their talent... What Whitlock is suggesting in this article (did you even read it...?) is that the rules be changed so these players can get their hands on some of that money as well... It's not that hard to understand...

Majority of these athletes either got broke or will file for bankruptcy. They have lack of education and get raped by their accountants and agents. Most these cats don't live for the future, only the present. Oh well. Their life, their choice, their decision.

And YOURE not understanding the full picture, appearntly. You act as if the schools are making money off them and giveng NOTHING back, when that simply is NOT true.

The school is SHOWCASING your TALENT so that you can GO to the next level and make MORE monwy then one kid EVER made for that school. Do you understand that?

Secondly, A STUDENT ATHLETE is given a 4 YEAR COLLEGE degree for playing for a university. In return, he gets the OPPURTUNITY to get him or herself an education, which could potentially make them a millionaire. Universities only have these kids for 4 years. You act as if they hold on to them for a LIFETIME.

Why are people so hard in understanding the concept? Kids go to college to GET AN EDUCATION or to SHOWCAS THEIR ABILITIES. These schools arent "being pimped", it is a TRADE OFF...

Yall need to stop acting as if these kids dont get shit in return, when they CLEARLY do.
